Quote
The preview drops readers into the Rainstorm Forest, where Sonic and the Chaotix Detective Agency — Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy Bee — face off against Restoration HQ’s destroyer robot. Just as the robot is about to get the drop on them, Shadow and Rouge appear to stomp it out. While their help is welcome, Vector is suspicious of their true motives.
Rouge explains that since Sweeps Inc. was exposed as a front for illegal weapons and pollution, she was hired to see if there was anything else suspicious going on. Charmy accidentally lets it slip that Vector and Espio were captured, which Vector doesn’t appreciate since it makes him ...

I wonder how Belle will feel about her "sister". Perhaps replacement envy.

I kinda wish it would've last longer. But i am also hoping Warner Bros animations would also animate it.

Well ... After how Metal treat her, she could be having trust issue and rather cautious with Sage.

What is that Sega device being attached to the NDS?

It's a peripheral cartridge of "Love and Berry DS" game that can read the barcodes of the "Love and Berry" cards acquired from the arcade and features the same gameplay mechanics.

The arcade game's very popular among girls in Japan back then when it's released.
Well, in my country too but I never played it.
The franchise is still alive even until today in Japan, conctantly getting merchs, colabs, and exhibition.

Sage isn't programmed to be merciless though to the point that consciousness is questionable.
Sage was not only prgrammed to be an advance AI but succeeded her programming thanks to Cyber Space. But because she remained loyal to Dr. Eggman, instead of lobotomizing her programming, has taken more of a liking to her like a daughter.
Belle regarded Metal Sonic to potentially be a brother when in truth, Metal Sonic was designed to be a weapon, a weapon that Dr. Eggman dotes over but not overly sentimental with. Sage was designed to be an AI assistant that he has become sentimental over to the point of fatherly.
So, it would make sense for Belle to be somewhat jealous over Sage, if that'll be the case.

Could this NDS scanner also be used for Dinosaur king and MushiKing cards? Or other games?

Yes, still Belle didn't know Sage at all for now, so she wouldn't know whether Sage is merciless or not, or what kind of closeness she has with Eggman.
That's why I think she could be caotious towards Sage at first.
Will be she be jealous or not that will come out a lot later.

Could this NDS scanner also be used for Dinosaur king and MushiKing cards? Or other games?

Yes for MushiKing, because SEGA's Card Reader supported three DS games:

1. Oshare Majo Love and Berry / Oshare Majo: Dress Up!
2. Kouchuu Ouja Mushiking Super Collection
3. Card de Asobu! Hajimete no DS (a child-friendly educational game)

For Dinosaur King no.
It does have an NDS game but I don't know why SEGA didn't make it card reader based one for this.

Yeah, I bet jealousy will be inevitable, but not straight-up jealousy.

That's an interesting outcome.
Maybe because the NDS game was more based on or adaption from the anime and not directly from the original game itself? Especially if they wanted to market the game for a Wester audience.

That's possible.
Seems like a missed opportunity though since both of them were made by SEGA.
Or may be the franchise holder wanted it that way.
