Cops 'N' Cabbies Mode sounds a bit Grand Theft Auto... you think Sega are hoping Crazy Taxi: World Tour would at least peg Grand Theft Auto VI a little?

Nah, from what I saw this is a multi player mode only so I don't think they're heading that way.

I see, like a movie series built from the original series, but not on it.

Godzilla is also getting new movie. Poor Bayonetta has to battle these two in the poll.

It be ballsy if they did. Not saying they should. But Crazy Taxi and GTA has a few similarities. Not a lot, but a few.

She's taken on worse. She fought kaiju-sized celestial monsters all the while grooving like a go-go dancer.

Yes, but I don't want Crazy Taxi to be called as GTA-rip off. It's already a unique original franchise to the point that other games are ripping it off.

No worries since Bayonetta absolutely can create and control kaiju-sized monsters, and doing so is a core part of her magical toolkit. She conjures them from Inferno using her hair as a portal and the scale of her summons reaches staggering, skyscraper-dwarfing sizes.

Her weakness for the poll is she have no new games in plan, only a colab with Stellar Blade.

I wouldn't say it's a rip-off. Hell, you could argue Grand Theft Auto ripped off Crazy Taxi... maybe, probably coincidence.

Crazy Taxi hit the arcades in February 1999. This was of course a year before the PlayStation 2. Grand Theft Auto II was also released that year for PlayStation 1, which had the same top-down view gameplay as it's predecessor games.

That's not to say the PlayStation 1 couldn't handle open-world driving games, such games as Driver which was released in June that year and had gameplay similar to Crazy Taxi. But the 1997 game Carmageddon also shows that 3D open-world driving game was also possible back then for the PlayStation. Carmageddon was a bit primitive, but honestly, Die Hard Trilogy (With A Vengeance) also comes to mind and that was released in 1996!
It wasn't until Grand Theft Auto III where the games became fully 3D and the modern GTA gameplay being fleshed out from.
So Crazy Taxi was a bit earlier than Grand Theft Auto, but to say GTA ripped off Crazy Taxi would be a bit of a stretch given I feel between Crazy Taxi, With a Vengeance and Driver, it was less about who inspired or ripped-off who and more of that's how open-world driving games were just going once the hardware became more available sort of thing.

I think her series has came to an end given her death.

Though could be possible Viola will be taking her mothers place. Though I dunno if she will have the same "appeal" as her mother.
That or, given parallel universes are confirmed, another Bayonetta will take her place.

I don't think anybody thought that Crazy Taxi is a GTA rip-off or the other way around. I'm only continuing the what if scenario when you hypothetically saying what if SEGA's hoping Crazy Taxi: World Tour would at least peg Grand Theft Auto VI a little which I think that's not the case since the mode is not the main gameplay of the game. If they change all the gameplay into just Cops 'N' Cabbies Mode and nothing else, then it's okay if people call it a GTA rip-off.

The game didn't end with Bayonetta 3. Platinum Games made a prequel of it, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon!

Sure it has different gameplay and atmosphere but it's still counted as Bayonetta game.
They still wanted to make more of the prequels if Nintendo's willing to publish them.

yeah, I know CT:WT is its own thing, but would still probably give GTA6 a bit of... I wouldn't say competition, but certain draw a bit of attention from it... not much, but a little.

They could continue the series from her childhood. It be a bit different genre from what the main-series fans are used to, but still a way to continue the series.

The thing is ... Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Bayonetta, has left Platinum Games in 2023 (the year in which the prequel Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon! released) and now works at his own independent studio called Clovers.
And Platinum Games seems doesn't want to make more Bayonetta games without him, just like Konami doesn't want to make more Metal Gear Solid games without Hideo Kojima.

It's probably for the best to leave Bayonetta as it is then. We dunno for sure if Viola can fill in her stilettos and Bayonetta 3 wrapped things up nicely.

Yeah, plus some fans find Viola's parry-focused rhythm clunky and jarring compared to Bayonetta's iconic, dance-like dodging. She got a huge gap to catch up even just in term of gameplay, let alone in character design and popularity.

And although Kamiya never intended to end the series with Bayonetta 3 and notes that he had hoped the spin-off (Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon) would continue as its own series, PlatinumGames is currently busy working on the AAA game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin in partnership with Paramount so I don't think they had time for another Bayonetta games now.

True. Plus, rebooting the Bayonetta series is always an option. I'm always a bit iffy when it comes to reboots, but reboots are an ideal way to revise past concepts and give more polish to a game. Or make changes to the original story that would offer opportunities for expanded lore.

For example, a new Bayonetta game that has the same gameplay and style as the original games, but has some of Bayonetta Origins art style and maybe a few strategy elements from it?

Kamiya said he's interested in fleshing out many elements from the first game in the series, including the multiverse. Bayonetta vs evil Bayonetta may be?

Eh, bit cliché. Maybe same story but with changes here and there to allow opportunities for more stories. Such as what if the Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages didn't die out? The Clan Wars may still happen and Bayonetta still slept in the coffin, but when she awoke, she found the clans have changed throughout the years. Such as the Lumen Sages becoming the Ithavoll Group.

Was going to make an Avatar title parody, but they beat me to it.
