Sonic Racing Crossworlds Arcade DX is Announced for Arcade

Quote
With this, Sega are now presenting the game in a vertical screen format. This appears to be an 85″ screen set on its side; from the render, I feel the control base is a little too close, but that could see some adjusting in the production model. That format has been all the rage with arcade racers of late, from Storm Racer 2 to Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade DX Plus and more; a vertical version of the game was in fact promoted by Sega recently (which funnily enough had one or two people wondering out loud whether an arcade release was imminent…).

Also in-keeping with those, the cabinet uses a motion base, but where it differs slightly is its specialized yoke-like steering wheel, which is likely there to accommodate the flying sections of the game’s races. Some arcade racers have done something similar to this in years gone by; Sega’s own F-Zero AX had a controller reminiscent of it back in ...

I remember you said you have fond memories too with Master System and Alex Kidd and now I wonder why there's no Master System-themed car.
I think they figured three is enough. Or maybe we'll get more console themed machines later on?

I'm curious what a Game Gear machine would look like. Maybe a Boost-type machine?

New F-Zero GX Cheat Codes Discovered For Nintendo Switch 2 and GameCube, But Bring Plenty Of Hands To Input Them

Quote
The cheats, as reported by NintendoEverything and noted in a video from dedicated player Madeo Joestar (aka "Piccolo"), have been confirmed to work on both the original GameCube release as well as the Nintendo Switch 2 "Nintendo Classics" edition. Piccolo notes that there is no "time limit" to entering the Parts Codes, but each button must be hit on all four controllers at the same time. So it's going to take a few friends and perhaps a few attempts. If you own a Wavebird, then that can be used with four receivers to rep four individual controllers... But then you'd also have to have four receivers. The long and ...

We got to figure out first what stands out most from a Game Gear.
The number of batteries it chews through in an hour? The accessories? I think it is often overlooked how the Game Gear can be used as a portable television. While the TV Tuner no longer work due to analogue broadcasts being obsolete, they could still be used as monitors. I saw a video of someone playing an XBox 360 game through one.

Imagine if Sega released a game similar to Silent Hill: Townfall, a game where the main character uses a handheld CRTV to interact with? Only instead of a portable television, they are a Sega fan who just so happen to have a Game Gear with a TV Tuner.

Actually, I can imagine RGG Studio doing just that for a Like a Dragon game.

I would so buy a brand-new Game Gear, but 6 AA for a few hours is a lot. I wonder if using rechargable batteries alone with an adapter would charge the batteries when not in use?

True. I guess I simply wish I had more friends to play with. I can't imagine myself as a YouTube influencer nor want that kind or reputation. But it's nice that those with successful YouTube channels often have friends to play with.

Instead of rechargable batteries, I'd recommend Drop-in Lithium / Modern USB-C Power Board Mods (e.g., Clean Juice or similar aftermarket boards) instead.
Basically it's replacing the internal power board with a modern lithium-ion/USB-C setup eliminates AA batteries completely, provides steady voltage, and can push gameplay well past 20 hours depending on your screen/speaker setup.
That is if you are willing to mod or pay for one.

That came with a cost though. We can't have so many friends without make few enemies. Those YouTube influencers also had to deal with insults, rage, and hate speech from haters to the point that they got to maintain their mental health too.

That would be a bit beyond my comprehension to do. Besides Game Gears are more of a rarity these days, with them priced around £100 for a decent second hand one.

I guess so. If I became an influencer, I wouldn't mind an audience ranging from a few dozens to a few hundreds.

But sometimes unexpected thing's happened. One of our content suddenly became viral and meme and the audiences suddenly rocketed to thousands which of course bringing the haters too. That kind of thing is uncontrolable.

It is. It is natural that, if you have a platform, where it be the internet or a soapbox, you will end up with haters.
If some get a lot of followers, viewers, subscribers etc, it is regarded very successful. And that's fine. But I find comfort in a few hundred-thousands over millions. Close-knit but not exclusive, y'know?

I don't know. A few hundred-thousands is still too much for me, lol.
I managed facebook group that has thousand members and it already gave me a headache whenever there are conflict between members.

Yeah, a modest few-thousand would be enough for me. Enough to have people enjoy my content and play with me now and again, but not too much for expectations or commitment.

Do you think they will relist Crazy Taxi on Steam? Or the very least re-release Fare Wars on Steam.

No, SEGA rarely relist their old games. But if Word Tour's a success, we may get a chance to see the trilogy in the form of Crazy Taxi Origins or something, IF there's a third party company's interested in doing that.

The fact Crazy Taxi was on Steam to begin with, I don't know the procedures to it, but I feel all it would take would be a request to Steam to re-list it.

Delisted games are still "there" just inaccessible, y'know? You can even download delisted games if you have a redeem code.

It's like... right there... in my reach, but I can't have it because Steam removed the button.
