but at least it's more interesting than the previous Shining titles IMO .

The gameplay looks nice, the art style turns me off so meh. I can take some of that girly stuff in anime, but it seems too much in this game. Than again,  this is called shining hearts and japan has a lot of female rpg players

I'm irritated by 3 things.

1) A huge staple of the series, Beastmen, Werewolves, Centaours, Birdmen, Dragonites and so on have all been either left out or relegated to a small side cast or enemies and replaced with generic anime looking humans in slutty outfits.

2) The art direction is just so damn uninspired... It could EASILY be any old anime or cheap, crappy, low budget JRPG... (Old complaint though)

3)... It isn't Shining Force 4.


THAT SAID, I'm interested to see more based on the actual small bit of gameplay.

Shining Force EXA has a lot of furries in it, including the giant beast Duga and the cute dog boy, Firklin.

This is sorta true, certainly as far as the "harem full of moe girls" aspect goes. I can say without hesitation that I like Pako's design work better than Tony Taka's.

I like how the exploring looks, but it just makes me want to play that Ys game on the PSP instead. This just seems so uninspired that it almost hurts to watch be made.

The difference is that the Shining Force series never had 'slutty' outfits in the classic games, it does not suit the style I think of when I think Shining Force.

Also I reallllly need you to stop saying this shit about Bayonetta with out playing it. Bayonetta actually wears more and has less cleavage showing then any of these Shining Force girls. Not once do you ever, EVER see even a breast in this game...

Finally the character was created as a Strong woman... BY a woman and honestly so far I've only ever seen girls saying how much they like the character including my girlfriend who is currently doing some artwork based on the character she likes her so much.

Yes there are sexual inuendos in the game... But they are pretty much all, very cheesey jokes BY bayonetta herself... It is so light hearted and silly.

I think missing out on SUCH a great fun game for such a non-issue is silly. The game is cheap now... I suggest checking it out.

Yeah, I agree, that is how they appear, and that's why I'm not really as much of a fan of this game or its designs as much. Also, on a somewhat similar note, my mind cringes a bit at the thought of being forced into a straight dating sim when there's a perfectly good pretty boy you could be seeing instead. xP

Nonetheless, my point is that it's rather odd to condemn these characters for looking "slutty", and then turn right around and praise Bayonetta.

I'm talking about the majority of the time... her clothes are very covering, she isnt in a small bikini or even with a low cut top. She is completely covered.

And when she DOES have 'no clothes on' she is still more covered then any girl with a bikini on... Her hair spins around her body and you see nothing at all.

Again, try the game... It is fantastic.

Finally, I have no idea why you pretend to feel so strongly about this 'sex object' nonsense... It is extremely hypocritical when you link me pictures of furries hugging with their cocks out on MSN...
