And again, if Bayonetta had been a wildly altered relaunch of an older series, would you have found it to be a good reason to hate the game outright?

If the art style of this series had been part of what defined it, I would of course be very irritated that the style had changed and probably kick up a big stink. But if it was still a great game as Bayonetta is I would have no problem picking it up.

When there is a really great new Shining game I will again have no problem picking it up... But there was already an art style that fit the Shining series and it was part of what I loved about it. This new style is not it.

Is it fair to hate new games in a series just because they don't adhere to the standards of games from a long, long time ago?

I'm not sure how many times I have to stress that I don't hate the game because of the ugly new art style. If there is a good new Shining game I'll get it regardless.

You said "Some women like Bayonetta!", even though it's equally as irrelevant as saying "Some women like Shining Hearts!" It doesn't prove or disprove anything.

I'm sure plenty of girls love this new Shining Hearts game. However back on the official Sega forums your entire argument as to why Bayonetta was so terrible is how it makes woman look like objects and is disrespectful... But it turns out most girls ive come across find the Character a breath of freash air and empowering.

My new female roommate loves the way Shining Hearts looks. She's the biggest fan of these ecchi, harem, and hentai anime/manga that I've ever seen in my entire life, and I could take a picture of her bookshelf to prove it. She'd probably pick this game up in a heartbeat if it came to the US.

I prefer to only date guys who are early to mid 20's, around my age. It has a lot to do with the mental maturity that comes with age, as well as the physical. At my age, it's really annoying to talk to an 18 year old in high school saying how he's got it so rough or whatever. Teenagers can be way too melodramatic and emotional over stupid stuff.

He was intended to be a sweetly devoted person, and his design is very cute. Bayonetta was never intended to be a cute character, on the other hand. She's a woman in a game where the developers felt the need to do slow motion zoom-in shots of her crotch.
