SEGA has launched the following Phantasy Star website, according to the site this upcoming announcement will be part of the Phantasy Star 30th Anniversary. The first Phantasy Star launched in Japan way back in 1988 on the SEGA Mark III (Master System outside of Japan).
According to the website this announcement is slated for iOS and Android mobile users. According to the site this will be a RPG, no idea if this means that they will go back to the franchises roots or if this is just another mobile cash grab. I will say I’m digging the Phantasy Star 30th Anniversary logo, looks like they included a silhouette of Myau from the orginal Phantasy Star.

The latest Phantasy Star game came out in 2014 and PSO2 is still going on so Phantasy Star is still there, kinda.
How about a World wide re-release of Phantasy Star Nova on Switch SEGA?
Or even an HD port of Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity on PC/Switch (and the PS4/XONE if possible)

Sega ruined both Phantasy Star and the Shining series. What’s there to celebrate? I’m nostalgic for the older titles, but what have they done lately? PSO 2 is too weeb for my taste, honestly. I think that’s why Sega isn’t bringing it over. The last decent titles imo were Phantasy Star 4 and PSO Episodes 1 and 2 (3 is ok…). You know what’d be nice? The PS2 remakes. Yeah. Translate those and make a remake of the 4th one this time too. 😀 How about the Saturn collection? How about giving me the Saturn Shining games while you’re at it, Sega? And how about a full translation of Shining Force 3? C’mon!
