With the surprise announcement of SEGA’s third person shooter Binary Domain heading to Steam, SEGAbits member Pao/Riki has taken it on himself to start a petition for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown for Steam too. Now from my own opinion, anything that can help boost the potential sales for Virtua Fighter whilst allowing the core gameplay and style to stay intact is a-ok to me. With no other major fighting game released on the PC for some time now, this could be great boost for the series’ popularity so if you happen to be a Steam user who wants to get your voice heard to get one of the best fighting games available on PC, then sign the petition!

Thanks for posting this Aki!
Hopefully SEGA continues their trend with the PC ports and make this a reality!
About this:
“With no other major fighting game released on the PC for some time now”.
That’s not correct. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition was released for the PC on July 2011, and Street Fighter X Tekken is going to be released for the PC on May 11 2012.
1-I NEED IT ON ONLIVE TOO WITH BINARY DOMAIN
2-I have something COOLER here, this guy just won Japan’s national tourney last week
and you can see YU SUZUKI (Father of VF, Shenmue) here awarding him, and promoting his
VF Social title. http://www.famitsu.com/news/201203/17011736.html (its always great
to see the nice man around), ha ha…since SF fella has Daigo “A Beast”, VF fella has something
ever more furious “Chibata” aka The Invicible Legend, more info on VF: http://www.virtufighter.com
Chibita, the Virtua God, wins Japan’s national VF tournoment & is awarded the special title:
不敗神話 “Invincible Legend”, in addition to video below here is also a link
http://www.famitsu.com/news/201203/17011736.html which gives you the chance to see some
cool pictues from the event! and spot “Yu Suzuki”, SEGA’s legendary game designer,
congratulating Chibata and promoting his new VF mobile title, for more info on VF check out:
http://www.virtuafighter.com, also there’s gonna be the 2nd VF5FS Tourney at Southtown
Arcade San Francisco, this month.
@SEGA
NOT ONLY STEAM, ONLIVE TOO!
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, Binary Domain , Jet Set Radio HD Onlive is needed, and they will sell like HOT cakes:
If you really don’t plan to release it on disc (or even if you plan), then try to reach more audience, why we shouldn’t see VF at Evo? why SF is more popular than VF in west? ask yourself,
its all because of your wrong bussiness steps, but if you use services like Onlive, Steam, you’ll get there again.
I also recommend to release a disc version after sometime, to double your profit, believe me, many will buy both digital and disc version.
As a VF fan, I will buy it on PSN (since I hate payin on Xbox Live) , but what if I wanna play
VF on other systems (parties, events, friends)?
(Dont tell me I download it everytime or I force my friend’s to buy it cuz many wont)
Solution? give us disc or onlive version (prefebly both in case we can’t access high speed internet). As for your Onlive performance: (Playerpack is stupid for now, sell them at full price like Assasins Creeds and …)
Please release this, Jet Set Radio HD and Binary Domain ALL ON both Onlive and Steam at FULL PRICE not (Rental) Playerpack , CLOUD gaming is amazing, no download no install not now a day’s console headaches, consoles are going wrong, they gettin as time consuming and annoying as old school PC DVD Rom games, but with Onlive and standard high speed internet, me and lots of my friends playing SF4 anywhere, anytime, on any device and that’s GREAT, but we are so sad, that…..there is no 3d fighter or a game like Binary Domain on it.
You have had a very poor support for Onlive, no offense I like Dreamcast collection and 16bit lineup, BUTTTTTTTTTT WHY THE HELL I SHOULD PAY 9.99 a month to play them?
SELL THEM AT FULL PRICE ON ONLIVE, show a better support for Onlive and you will sell as much as CAPCOM, THQ and Ubisoft, their titles are doing great on Onlive.
But what about you? Alpha protocol and Virtua Tennis 2009 plus 9.99 a month for
Dreamcast Collection and SEGA 16bits+other old PC games? sorry NO…
(All said, I payed a one moth fee just to play DC collection while my friends
spectating me on Onlive, but that’s it….only once).
SELL THEM AT FULL PRICE we buy them at launch (or we pre-order).
Also INCLUDE the online 2player to Streets Of Rage on Onlive….(I’m throwing you ideas here)
@SEGABits
I have something cooler here, (Yu Suzuki+Chibata)

Oops!
now what if someone (a mod) please could delete my first comment plus everything Ive posted before the @SEGA part at 2nd comment (cuz its the same thing by mistake), appologiez 🙂
Ah tnx, I see those monster comments are gone.
Let me summurize them here:
1-Well, in short basically I wanted to say:
VF5 FS PC is definately needed for this series to succeed.
BUT SEGA needs to bring it on Onlive too! *at full price.
there is no 3d fighter on Onlive and with SF4 Onlive proved
that fighting games can work too, anywhere on any device+ high speed internet.
And Onlive users need the Onlive version too, as well as
other games like Binary Domain, Jet Set Radio and plz!
let us buy them like Street Fighter 4 which is doing great
on Onlive, and dont treat them like DC collection, or 16bits,
which we need to subscribe to player pack in order to play them.
Also, a disc version would be appreciated at a later time.
(I get that, SEGA wants the digital money first to move any further)
2-Also, here is a link to last week’s Japan’s national VF tourney,
Yu Suzuki has been there as you see! awarding Chibata & promotin his
VF mobile title.

(Those pictures can easily show us that Suzuki san is
still an advisor to SEGA, he works with AM2 in behind the scenes
and YS NET is just his very own place)
