I got to finish off SASASAR and AVP tonight to do a review. I just have been busy as hell. Doing what? Nonsense mostly.

very interested in the avp review, it seems to be a very love it or hate it game.

I've played a little (Human campaign), and for me it is tough as Hell.  I switched it down to easy, and it's more fun.

Been playing Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie pretty much nonstop since I got it. Yeah, the IPs they used are mostly bullshit or stupid, some of characters are bad choices (ChuChus? WTF!), and only about half of the songs used are as great as they should be, but overall a really really solid game that really anyone can play with tons of replay value and excellent multiplayer options. Now I just want to know what the DLC is and if it will expand the online options (which are fairly weak when compared to the rest of the game). I personally would love something like Virtua Racing, Golden Axe and Ecco the Dolphin levels with Joe Musashi, Vectorman, Arle and Ristar playable (screw NiGHTS, that asshole has too many cameos already!), and a few more songs for each level while you are at it! Genesis songs are a must, a MUST I say!

Probably my favorite part of the game is the Time Trial mode, I cannot think of any racing game with one that is this well realized and well done. Seriously, great job SUMO! Anyone who has the game on the Xbox 360 should try beating my times, but I am pretty hardcore about it, I even had a world record for awhile on the second The House of the Dead level!

But yeah, seems like this is going to be the first retail game I get all of the achievements on, so that is great!

Next I should be beating Bayonetta a third time, and I was going to try out the Hard difficulty. After all of the Alfheim Portals I have been through, this should be a breeze, especially considering I do not mind what ratings I get from every level now. At least not yet!

I've finally beaten Final Fantasy V.
I started this game about 4 years ago, and kept playing it on and off.  I probably made more progress in the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 2 years though.
The job system is pretty great. I enjoyed the setup in III, but the way you can combine different abilities from different jobs to make whatever team works best for you, was definitely the highlight for me.  I was planning on playing FFVI once I beat this one, but I think I'll focus on beating Yakuza 3 when it comes out, then pick up Final Fantasy XIII and play through that.  It'll be the first time I've actually owned a console that a Final Fantasy game came out on when it came out.

Picked Viking: Battle for Asgard yet again. Making some very good progress today.

I haven't picked up the game in the past six months. I was making good progress last Summer till Bayonetta, Smackdown vs RAW 2010 and Lost Odyssey came into the fray.

But I've been making a lot of progress.
I already summoned the last Dragon I now all I have left is to craft to the Giant's Forge and rescue two more Viking clans.

Then I'm off to get Hell once and for all. So I can shelf this game at last.

Been playing mostly Mass Effect 2 and AVP.

Mass Effect 2 is just... brilliant. Game is packed to the gills with content, great fun to play, good story, amazing graphics. Up there with Bayonetta for one of the best games i've played recently (I think I like Bayonetta better still).

AVP is a mixed bag. The Single player isn't bad, but it's not really anything special compared to other good single player 360 Shooters (Darkness, Halo ODST, COD Series etc), but it has it's moments. I nearly fell out of my chair during an Alien attack once, thankfully nobody else was home to laugh at me. The game really shines online though, really, really excellent. I love the team deathmatches especially, even mixed species is fun combining the various powers of hte teams. It's fun ot jump into Ranked Match quick play and just get a roullette of various game modes. I think I like playing as Marines the best, Aliens and Predators are around the same for me. I find it tough playing both as Aliens need to get in close and use their tail attacks to get anywhere, and Preds really depend on their weaponry to win matches. Either way, it's all a lot of fun.

EDIT: ALMOST FORGOT!

Thanks to the awesome GP2X Wiz, i've been playing some classics on the train trips to work/uni. Last night I was playing Moonwalker on Mega Drive, and holy crap what a fun game. It kept a smile on my face the whole time, listening to the music, watching the cool animations and just the whole bizarre yet fun nature of it. It also has to be one of the best presented games EVER. So many slick little touches, like the psuedo cut-scenes with MJ doing the dance moves with special effects, the 'Wooo' level announcement. Hell, look at the very first level of his silhouette walking into the club and throwing the coin into the juke-box.

I also have the PAL version where he fights zombies to 'Another part of me' instead of Thriller. It really works so damn well though.

I've been playing Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing on my 360. I haven't had so much fun with a racer in a long time.

I wish there were more characters in the game like the Hang-on guy or the Hornet from Daytona. It really makes me scratch my head and wonder why they limited their character roster to so few characters.

I thought the *cough* amount of characters was good, just the IPs used were questionable at best, especially for the levels. DLC is on the way, but I am expecting modes and characters, not sure about levels, but that is what I want the most...

Speaking of the game, I just now got all of the achievements in it! Woooo me!

I still play it a lot and am going to continue to do so, but I need to say that I am annoyed with the Grand Prix mode. The characters you race are only partially randomized, and even then you always have to race against Amy, Amigo, Tails, Shadow... It really pisses me off after the hundredth time I have gone through it, I mean, why have so many cool characters when the AI is usually only the Sonic Team ones? Still, all around really great game. Gameplay wise I really cannot think of anything wrong with the game, I just want more content. Like, where is Heart Attack Mode?

Secret of Monkey Island on Xbox. I'm not finished with the first part (of three) but I'm now sure this game is great.

Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth Investigations on DS. I'm at the beginning of the fourth case. The first two were very good but the third one was somewhat boring. I'm still expecting I can rank this one above Justice for All, which I dislike with a passion just because of that character Franziska von Karma.

That's it, folks. I finished Viking: Battle for Asgard this afternoon.

After I upgraded my weapon in the Giant's Forge and saved all the remaining Viking clans, I had the final battle and took the fight to Hel's Fortress.

The part where you are heading up the stairs to Hel's chambers is tough, but doable.

But the first part of the final boss fight was giving me a headache.
I had to destroy Hel's magical thingamajuggans to get to the second part.

But it's hard, it takes 7 hits to get them all. What's worse is that Hel's minions kept respawning. I didn't even bother taking them out I pushed them into the fire.

It was only about my forth try that I got it and then I went on to fight Hel in her final form, which was suprisingly cheap, being a Giant I had to just get behind her, slash her legs and then do four QTEs. I messed twice, which makes me fight Hel's minions again.

But I beat it after the last QTE.

Very satisfied.

I love the monkey island games. Word on the Street is that Monkey Island 2: Special Edition might get an announcement/release in March!

That's arguably the best in the series too, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Good news! It's my first time with Monkey Island. I used to call it the sin I never committed. I might pick number 2 eventually.

Oh look, a three headed monkey!

I just beat Half-Minute Hero.
The Hero 300 mode was pretty intense. 5 minutes to save the world, and no way to turn back the clock like in the other game modes. It took me quite a few tries, but I managed to beat it with less than one second left. hurgugugirgh

I've got about 40 jiggies in nuts n bolts now, very enjoyable game. Easily worth he £6 I spent on it.

I need to play some more sasar, I think the glitched trophy has made me stop as I know I can't obtain the platinum.
I remember virtua tennis 09 had some glitchy trophies too so I hope it gets patched.
