Leaked Sonic Adventure XBLA footage

Here is someone playing Sonic Adventure on their Xbox 360, yes another leak coming from SEGA. Seems that we already know almost everything about this game and SEGA has not even announced it yet.

As you can see in the video, the game will not support widescreen, the person playing it has it stretched to widescreen. Also the fast forward stuff is by the guy that did the video, we assume.

    Video is dead.

  2. I watched it a few times before it was taken down, so here are a few notes:

-Framerate is very smooth, textures look great

-The menus are from the Dreamcast, not the Gamecube/PC version

-Character models are from the Director's Cut (GC/PC version)

-Loading screen is new, with a fancy little 3D spinning ring

-Metal Sonic is the prize for a complete emblem collection

-The game has a DLC option, I assume that the Director's Cut with the missions and Game Gear games is the DLC

Sounds interesting! Thanks for the summary

  4. An edit to this note:

-The menus are from the Dreamcast, not the Gamecube/PC version

It seems the menus are a mix. I actualy don't recall if the intro screen was DX or Dreamcast (as the video was fastforwarding), but the sub-menus feature the original logo.

Should be working now, thanks for the link Barry.

Backed up the video on the PC just in case.

The video was taken down again, but there are other videos of it up now too. No idea why SEGA keeps pretending it does not exist…

The game seems to run fine (only saw a few framerate issues), but it is indeed the DX release with its shitty ruined everything.

  7. George says:

Well, uploaded it to "NOT YOUTUBE" service, 3rd time is the charm :).

What was bad about the DX version again?

  9. Some people didn't like the new character models and (from what I've heard) the framerate isn't as good as the Dreamcast version. Also, some textures are actually dumbed down, case in point the first Chaos fight. The building goes from elaborate brick and windows (DC) to flat boring gray (GC/PC).

However, I'm all for Metal Sonic and unlockable Game Gear games…assuming they've been left in.

Nothing to terrible then… I hope the frame rate is fixed but everything else is a non-issue to me.
