Adsense drops us, need suggestions from the community

Not that we were making a lot of cash from Adsense, but it did pay some of the bills. It seems that Google thinks there is some invalid clicking going on on our site, which lead them to disable and take all our money from our account. Shame really. We have appealed their claim, we obviously aren’t making users click our ads. We would never do that. But now we need suggestions for alternative advertising.

Outside of this, we also need someone who is an expert when it comes to searches. Don’t know what is wrong with Google or if they just have something against our site, but we don’t show up for search results at all. We have worked with them to make it easier but doesn’t seem like the search giant cares. If someone out there knows someone that can help, contact us

Yeah.. anyone who knows anything about search.. I submitted a site map to Google and it didn’t seem to do anything.

You should do thoes ads that slowly fade in every page until it engulfs the entire page.

LOL. No, we have decided early on that is not something we want to resort to.

  4. Is there a way to earn money from Amazon or Play-Asia links specific to SEGA stuff? I know I’ve clicked my fair share of banners to check out stuff for sale via that method.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. The majority of my site’s income was coming from AdSense, so it hit pretty hard. I’ve tried a few alternatives, but none have paid anywhere near as AdSense does.

Project Wonderful is what I’m using now. Although it pays less than AdSense, the site is very intuitive, and even allows you to advertise with your earnings rather than requiring a split account (advertising tends to be pretty cheap, too). Fees are minimal: $1.00 fee per withdrawal. Minimum withdrawal $10.

I’d recommend staying away from Clicksor. I’ve had nothing good come out of my experience with them. There was even a time (in 2008 or 2009), when I was using them, in which many of my users were reporting that their antivirus software was detecting some form of malware directly embedded within an ad. Hmm.

AdBrite is another popular choice. I haven’t used them personally, so I can’t comment on how it compares to the others.

By the way, AdSense’s appeal process is a joke. They give you a form to fill out, which basically asks you for a short essay on why you’re innocent, and then you don’t hear back for a month. The reply they send you at that time? A short, simple e-mail basically saying “Sorry, your appeal was denied. Goodbye forever.” No details, no chance for further appeal, no contact information.. yeah.

Moral of the story for anyone reading: if you’re going to use AdSense, honestly go ahead as you’ll be making probably five times as much as you would anywhere else, but don’t depend on it, because sooner or later, your account WILL be closed, and anything you have in your account at the time (for me, it as already above the $100 minimum withdrawal amount) will be permanently stolen from you with no chance of ever getting it back.

  7. God I hope don’t have this trouble. so far so good, but I use adblock on my computer so they can never accuse me of generating fake clicks.

Being honest it’s easier to earn money via youtube videos compared to web articles. As I found out with my Alien Isolation Walk through guide.
