In other late-night Sega news, it looks like Namco is working with Sega to Add Daytona USA is DLC for the currently available Ridge Racer on Vita. There’s not much news I could find outside of this youtube video, but it includes at least one track similar to the original and the Hornet car in all it’s low-polygon glory! No word yet on if this Japanese DLC will hit stateside.

Oh God, this better happen and soon in the USA. With no new Daytona on the horizon, having Hornet in Ridge Racer would be really cool.
That new song + the blocky Hornet is GOLD! I love this!
Too bad Ridge Racer for Vita isn’t a very good game and a complete rip off.

I was half asleep when I watched the video this morning. Did…did the singer start with “In Ridge Racer…” in a clone of Daytona USA’s theme song?
Now the DLC must come to America…WITH THAT SONG!
I believe that IS Takenobu Mitsuyoshi singing. Might be the music that plays over the Daytona inspired Ridge Racer track.
So what does SEGA gain from this?…
I’m guessing money.
