Somewhat out of the blue Sega has today announced that they’ve released a patch for NiGHTS into Dreams for PSN and XBLA. The patch includes adjusted controls to allow analog input in 24 directions, which will allow for greater control of our favourite purple jester. Not only that but the speed of the drill-dash move has been aligned with the speed of the Saturn original version.

I used to get ~24 max links, but today I could get 60+. Straight lines are tougher to maintain, but the fluidity is much appreciated.
I hope they can also fix some of the bosses, Gulpo is impossible to hit with any accuracy.
Now that’s the SEGA we all know and love, that precise precision in their flag ship titles, solid controls that are well responsive and actually are fun to control.
It is indeed more difficult to fly in a straight line now, but the increased sensitivity definitely makes this port more fun to play now.
Plus it’s Christmas NiGHTS title screen time!

That’s terrific! Now, how about a patch that makes adds all of Christmas NiGHTS’ content back into the game?
