Hi☆sCool! Seha Girls is back once again, with the third episode now being available on Crunchyroll!
This episode sees the girls spend more time in the main area of the SeHaGaga Academy, as opposed to being focused on a game like last time. The majority of the episode focuses on the girls chatting about what they’ll do upon leaving the academy, with Dreamcast brainstorming ideas for SEGA Saturn. They eventually decide on Saturn becoming a weather girl, and also become fascinated by the idea of her getting married to a baseball player; this actually results in a reference to the relatively unknown Home Run King! They also try and convince Mega Drive to give the job a go, which results in a surprisingly moving scene, as Mega Drive “bugs out,” and begins discussing… rabbit death. Well, OK then!
There’s also something about Bosnia, so that’s a thing.
The girls are then tasked with entering the world of Space Channel 5, to save two of Professor Asobin’s currently unknown, but apparently “dear” friends. They must pull in ratings with dance moves, but there’s one minor setback: Mega Drive can’t dance! Just in the nick of time, however, a certain pink haired diva shows up; and I’m not talking about Dreamcast!
Overall, the episode’s pretty solid, though I feel it’s perhaps not quite as heavy in the SEGA fanservice as prior episodes. That said, in its place comes some pretty great character development, especially for Mega Drive: it’ll be interesting to see how the next episodes pan out for her. Fanservice is not criteria for success, as this episode proves!

Side note: Mega Drive is adorable and nobody can convince me otherwise.
