Japanese website Games Talk has let slip that Shenmue‘s Ryo Hazuki will be joining the cast in the SEGA/Capcom/Bandai Namco crossover Project X Zone 2: Brave New World! Ryo appeared in a piece of artwork from the game featuring several other new and already revealed characters. The artwork itself was in a series of screenshots from the Korean localization of the game. It is unknown at this time if Ryo is a solo unit or is a part of a team. Fingers crossed it’s a team, as that would mean an additional Shenmue character (Ren? Goro? The kitten!?).
After the break, check out a few more screens from the Korean version which feature Virtua Fighter characters.
So when will shenmue 1 and 2 come out?
They’re already out.
I mean the hd or rerelease for ps4
They’ve never even announced them, so there isn’t a firm date in mind.
There was talk recently with Yu Suzuki and Sega planning a re-release before Shenmue III comes out late 2017, though who form it takes and how it’ll pan out remains to be seen, maybe they’ll re-launch them with Shenmue III or incl a digital voucher within every copy of Shenmue III to download them.
And unless they completely remake them, they are already in HD on the Dreamcast, you just need to play them with the VGA box.
The only other way they can be improved is if they are re-encoded in widescreen, though it seems DreamcastersTube on Youtube has already worked out a way to get it to output in widescreen.
My two major wants in a re-release are:
• Japanese dub for the first game – there has been no official release with Japanese vocals and English subtitles.
• Save file from 1 can be converted to 2. The UK and Japan had this, but the US did not (unless you went in and edited your US Shenmue 1 file using VMU Tool).
There will be tears when he sees Segata and for a brief moment, mistakes him for someone else. Felicia might test his love for kittens too.
Well, I have to get this game now.
It looks like this game is a day one buy now.
I played part1. Tactic games are really good for the sake of variety. I love fire emblem 3ds and i love natural doctrine on vita. Project x zone 1 is really enjoyable and im sure part 2 will be as well. Not to be a complainer. Its NOT a SEGA game. But many characters of the sega ip are included which makes it a must for every sega fan. Surely it aint valkyria chronicles but that doeznt mean it isnt just as good. There was a commercial in benelux about a drink called rivella. And the slogan was: a little strange but very tasty. Project 1 honors this slogan. Its a strange game and a mash up of many characters but still somehow it plays very nice
