Neptunia and SEGA Hard Girls crossover coming to the West this Fall to PS Vita

Today, it’s been announced that the Seha Hard Girls and Hyperdimension Neptunia crossover game is coming to the West, both USA and Europe, as Superdimension Neptune vs SEGA Hard Girls, exclusively for the PS Vita. According to the game’s US website, it will feature an English dub and have the option to keep the original dub with subtitles. Oddly enough, SEGA is not publishing the game in the West, rather it’s being done by Idea Factory International, the regular publishers of Hyperdimension Neptunia games in the West.

The game seems to follow in the footsteps of other Neptunia games, being a 3D RPG with a cross between active and turn-based combat, with platforming on the overworld. Fans of the main series will probably find a good enjoyment out of it, and SEGA fans will probably want to tune in for the likely hefty amount of cameos that will doubtlessly be in the game.

Superdimension Neptune vs SEGA Hard Girls comes to the west in Fall 2016.

    From the website :
“Licensed to and published by Idea Factory International, Inc.
Distributed exclusively by SEGA of America, Inc.”

Nice to know SEGA of America’s supporting this. 🙂

The Sega Hard girls in English? I’m intrigued.

I have no real idea what the Hyperdimension Neptunia series is, or really what Sega Girls is, but I know there’s something related to the Dreamcast in it, so I’m intrigued. Plus, I’m always open to a new physical release.

The Sega HardGirls are basically Sega hardware home consoles in the form of girls, hence ‘Sega Hard Girls’ – girls as Sega Hardware. It also has an anime series based on it and a whole range of merchandise and have featured in some games like Samurai and Dragons.

Less familiar with the Neptunia Hyperdimention though, but it seems to be some Japanese anime figher with RPG elements I think, a bit like Fighters Climax.

Neptunia is a JRPG series revolving around a similar concept but with the console wars instead – basically Sega, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft and their handhelds and other companies caricatured as waifus.

And no news about Jet Set Radio Future. 🙁 Thanks SEGA.

Sega haven’t yet confirmed if they’re going to rerelease JSRF in fairness.
The likely hood of a re-release will probably be based on the success of the JSR Dreamcast re-release.

Sega’s been doing some great things lately, re-releases, demanding fan input and localisations ect as well, there’s more chance they’ll re-release a JSRF among others at some point compared to before.
