Sorry for being a bit offtopic just asking since I havent followed this in a long time; but is this a podcast replacing the swinging report show or is it something seperate?

    • SEGA Talk is a new podcast that stands separately from the Swingin’ Report Show. When it began, Swingin’ Report Show was a grab bag of talk, news and interviews. News is rarely evergreen content, meaning unlike interviews and retrospectives somebody is unlikely to revisit an hour long podcast centering around an of-the-moment news story. As such, early episodes of the show were relevant for maybe a week or two and then would be ignored. Interviews, however, have a much longer shelf life and are far more popular. So in 2013, Swingin’ Report Show turned into an interview show and we have since broken news chat into the SEGAbits YouTube show SEGA News Bits.

Swingin’ Report Show is still alive, but has been on a temporary hiatus. Interviews are very difficult to attain, and it is even harder to do them on a bi-weekly basis. SEGA Talk is a format that, in the opinion of George and I, has been long missed from SEGAbits podcasting. Now, we can do episodes of SEGA Talk whenever we want and we have countless choices for features. There are so many SEGA games, events, consoles and developers that we can highlight. SEGA Talk will have guests, but it will not be an interview format. Instead they will join us in our discussions.

Swingin’ Report Show episodes will release as we have interviews happen, but now George and I won’t feel as crummy when we go 6 months without releasing a podcast episode.

I’ve mostly enjoyed HOTD 2 and Overkill. I also remember paying money in the arcade to play 1st and 2nd player simultaneously on HOTD 2 so that could use both guns and fell like a badass. lol
