Free Shinobi costume DLC for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble being offered via email newsletter

SegaBits is a great one-stop-Sega-news-shop, but one service we cannot provide for you is free cosmetic DLC for the latest Sega games. We can still tell you when Sega offers you some however. Case in point, this special new Shinobi costume that Sega is offering to anyone who signs up for their email newsletter for the upcoming Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble game. No price is better than free, so head in past the break to sign up and enjoy your Shinobi costume when Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble comes out for Nintendo Switch on June 25th, 2024.

Head over to this link to sign up for Sega’s email newsletter for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. Once you do, you’ll receive a download code for the costume in your email upon the game’s release date, so keep your eyes open and make sure it doesn’t wind up in your spam folder. Be sure to also check out the official website of the game for more info that’s already been revealed.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that Sega’s been doing this a lot with brand new Sega releases. From Soap shoes for Sonic, to a modern dress for Amy, to a Hello Work uniform for Ichiban Kasuga, Sega’s sure making a habit of giving away free cosmetic DLC in exchange for signing up for an email newsletter for upcoming games. Of course, in the months following the release of those games, all that DLC has been released onto the various digital storefronts, still free of charge, but until then, the email newsletter was the only way to get the DLC as long as you signed up within the period of eligibility. If you missed any of those email newsletters, you can still get the associated DLC today, but if you want this shinobi costume before anyone else, you might as well sign up at your earliest convenience.

We probably don’t need to point this out, but that particular shinobi garb should look very familiar to Sega fans. It closely resembles the uniform of Joe Musashi, the famous protagonist of the majority of Sega’s Shinobi series of games. It’s an unexpected, but appreciated, nod to one of Sega’s best game series.

So tell us in the comments if you’re excited for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. Do you appreciate the free DLC that comes from these newsletters? It is a nice incentive to keep these games in the back of your mind in the months before release, right?
