Like A Dragon crossover DLC “Ichiban’s Holiday” coming soon to Dave the Diver

Revealed in PlayStation’s State of Play presentation yesterday, February 12th, 2025, a new DLC crossover with the Like A Dragon series, Ichiban’s Holiday, is coming this April to the hit game Dave the Diver. After having already enjoyed crossovers with franchises like Godzilla and Guilty Gear, the Hero of Yokohama, Ichiban Kasuga, alongside the bartender of the Survive Bar, will be joining Dave The Diver in a new action-packed story expansion on all platforms that Dave The Diver is available on. This will include some new mini-games and a new beat-em-up style side game that’s sure to excite Dave the Diver fans.

For more info about this new expansive, dive in through the break.

Here’s what’s in store for our favorite rock bottom dragon when he meets the crew of the Blue Hole, sourced from PlayStation Blog.

Kasuga Ichiban, our beloved protagonist since Yakuza: Like a Dragon, decides to take a well-deserved break at the Blue Hole. Joined by his ever-reliable buddy, the bartender of the “Survive Bar”, this vacation is about to turn into anything but relaxing.

Brace yourselves for an epic showdown as Bancho’s ego takes a serious hit when the bartender delivers a harsh dose of honesty about his skills.

But wait, there’s more! Our dynamic duo stumbles upon a sinister plot that’ll have you hooked. A dolphin-poaching syndicate is making waves, and it’s up to Ichiban and Dave to dive into action.

Ichiban will be joined with Cobra, an ex-arms dealer, as the two battle these despicable dolphin poachers in a new beat-em-up style game. Dig the Streets of Rage style player life bars. It’ll likely remind some of you of the free Steam game “Streets of Kamurocho” from 2020.

Besides that, there’ll be some new mini-games coming to Dave the Diver, which should be familiar to Like A Dragon fans, including a karaoke rhythm game. Some more familiar Like A Dragon characters can also be recruited in the Blue Hole’s sushi restaurant. Can you recognize any of these three?

Ichiban’s Holiday will be paid DLC for Dave the Diver, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam (Windows and MacOS), and Nintendo Switch this April. An exact release date and price will come later. Physical copies of Dave the Diver are also available exclusively for Nintendo Switch, in case you’re interested.
