Limited Run Games has partnered with SEGA to produce physical editions of the highly anticipated SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. Limited Run Games has stated that pre-order details and collector’s edition information will be announced shortly.
SEGA’s official announcement confirms Limited Run Games as the exclusive distributor of the physical release (so it seems, at least in America). This exclusivity has raised concerns among consumers due to Limited Run Games’ historically long fulfillment times. Some customers are still awaiting shipments of the Sonic x Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition, which began pre-orders in October of the previous year.

Man, why can’t Sega do the physical edition themselves? Limited Run seems like it started out good but I’ve heard they’ve sold people burned CD-Rs on some releases in recent years… if you can even get one before the scalper bots suck them all up.
same. I remember I had to spend quite a lot for there physical release of the star wars jedi knight games. Only to later find out that aspyr released those games in a collection a few years later. Ugh….. I can’t frickin stand scalpers. Hopefully limited run has since got there act together. But the allegations aren’t helping them that’s for sure. I guess I’ll have to download then. At least nintendo isn’t to stingy on download able games like Sony and Microsoft are… sigh
Interesting strategy from Sega – instead of not doing physical releases of more niche games at all, they just lean on Limited Run. But for me personally, these are more merchandise that ‘original’ physical games, especially if released/shipped after one have the digital version finished.
