Sonic Free Rider gameplay footage

So you guys have already seen Kinect shown off at the Microsoft press event and if you are like me, you where probably disapointed you did not see a SEGA game using it. Well fear no more, here is someone playing Sonic’s Kinect Riding game for over 5 minutes.

I’m not a fan of Sonic Rider games and this new one is not going to change my mind, especially playing it with Kinect. People are saying that SEGA has confirmed that the game will only play with Kinect, no controller option.

Sonic Free Riders a Kinect launch title

‘Sonic Free Riders’ was shown off at the Microsoft Press conference a few minutes ago. You might have missed it since it was only shown in the background, when showing off the launch titles.

Look at the image above, do you see it now?  Looks official now.

UPDATE: Hit the jump for the press release

ESRB rates both Sonic Adventure and DX

Head over to ESRB.com and click on publisher, put in SEGA then search. Bam! Right in your face, undeniable truth. I guess we might see this at E3 after all.

I thought it would have been some sort of exclusive to Microsoft, but I’m wrong. The ESRB listing says its for Windows PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Sorry Wii.

GameStop: $20 off select SEGA titles

GameStop is having a special on select SEGA titles. Not the best SEGA titles, like Bayonetta or SEGA & Sonic All-Stars Racing. But hey, still a deal I guess.

The sale ends on June 10th, so if you want them, make sure you get your ass in there before the 10th.

First gameplay trailer for VANQUISH

Shinji Mikami’s VANQUISH gets its first gameplay trailer and it seems to have delivered on all fronts. At least to me, this looks like an excellent game.

I love the cheesy voice acting, I love how crazy fast, big explosions, and how it does not take itself seriously. Moving train levels, big bosses and fast combat? I want. Though the facial motion capture looks pretty bad.

Alpha Protocol – Sharped dressed man trailer

Just because the game is already out, does not mean that SEGA will stop with them trailers. This one shows off how you can customize your characters cloths and even has a pretty funny comedy bit in the beginning.

Even though the game does not have super amazing graphics, its good to see color in it. Most western games with guns lack this and add bloom on top to piss me off.

Alpha Protocol sex scene

Here is the sex scene in Alpha Protocol that unlocks the achievement/trophy ‘Savage Love’. Even though its a sex scene, its very PG-13 and not graphic. I think it does better at showing you the dialog tree than most of the other trailers.

Alpha Protocol is out now in America on PC, PS3 and 360.

SEGA Deals: Alpha Protocol for $44.99 at K-Mart

So, Alpha Protocol comes out today and K-Mart is announcing a deal on the game already. If you go in today, till the 5th, you will be able to get your hands on Alpha Protocol for $44.99. This is only in stores. Deal only mentioned for the PS3 and 360 version of the game, sorry PC gamers.

This is all a part of K-Mart’s new strategy into getting gamers into buying games at their store. Cheap games makes me happy, so good job. Last month they had AVP and Bayonetta for $29.99.

Alpha Protocol charts in the UK

Alpha Protocol came out on the 28th, the charts ended on the 29th. So how did it do for one day sales? Rather alright actually. The 360 version came in at number 21 and the PS3 version charted at number 24. Not the best, the success of this title will be determine on how it does the upcoming weeks.

Football Manager 2010 is still charting, rather low at number 38. That is SEGA’s money maker as they say. UK loves football.

Alpha Protocol: PC vs. 360 vs. PS3 comparison

Alpha Protocol is coming out on 3 platforms, but which platform looks the best? I got to say, all three look the same to me. Sure the PC version is a bit sharper. But not by much.

Obviously the site is not running the PC version to its full potential, but since this is the only comparison out so far, it is safe to assume each platform is a safe buy. The game is out today in Europe, out in America on June 1st.

Why does Micheal walk around like he is a huge body builder unable to move his shoulders or chest? I guess that is how spies walk.

Ex-SEGA and Microsoft Employee says Natal will fail

Scot Bayless knows a thing or two about failing, he was Senior Producer at SEGA of America when they came up with the brilliant idea for the SEGA 32x. He also served at Microsoft as Studio Manager. Seeing all those studios closing at Microsoft Games Studios, don’t think he did a great job there either. This is what he had to say about Microsoft’s add-on.

“When I met with Microsoft in 2008 to look at Natal I asked: ‘When will you integrate this into the 360? Their response was: ‘We’re probably going to wait and see on that.’ To which I said: Then you’re going to fail.'”

He makes a great point about splitting the user base apart. Game development is expensive as it is, HD consoles finally reached the “above 35 million units sold” area and now developers will have to risk doing games for a smaller market that owns Project Natal or Playstation Move? Will casuals buy them? If Natal is $150 as rumored, they won’t. Again, we don’t know if Microsoft has “integrated” Natal with a new SKU, but if the bundled rumor price of $300 for an arcade is correct, a bit tough to lure in “the casuals. ”

Why would they buy expensive add-ons and consoles when the Wii is integrated with motion control since day one, costs $200 dollars and has a slew of motion based games already?
