It looks like City Connection will be releasing a shoot ’em up collection being titled Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch! This was done at the Shooting Game Daikanshasai event. The collection is set to launch on September 30, 2021 in Japan with a standard and special edition. Pre-orders open on April 27th.

The collection is set to gather the SEGA Saturn ports of the Cotton games which will include:

The collection will have all the modern emulation bells and whistles including save state, rapid fire, ability to rewind, online rankings, and more. The team is also working on Cotton: Reboot, which is due to come out later this year as well.

Who would have thought 2021 would have the Cotton series return?

New Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World Trailer highlights voice actors

For the first time in Wonder Boy history, the in-game characters will actually have voices in Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, a remake of the 1994 SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive classic Monster World IV. I’ve been pretty iffy with this title but slowly, as each trailer releases, its been getting me more interested. My only issue is the game costing $39.99, considering Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap cost half of that when it released.

Regardless, this new trailer is showing off some of the Japanese voice actors that will be voicing the colorful cast of characters.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster coming May 25, 2021 to the West

The press release also detailed what time pre-orders would open on the eShop. Pre-orders will open tomorrow on March 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM PDT / 5:00 PM EDT. The pre-order period will end on May 24, 2021 at 11:59 PM local time. While we got all this information due to Nintendo leaking it, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will not only be on Nintendo Switch but also PlayStation 4.

Any of you guys picking up this remaster before playing the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V? Oh wait, is that suppose to come out sometime?

Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake to Launch This Year

Last  year was the launch of the first Panzer Dragoon: Remake. While the game had issues when it first launched on Nintendo Switch, publisher Forever Entertainment actually went in and fixed the game through updates. Later we got PlayStation, Xbox and PC versions with higher resolutions.

Now the Panzer Dragoon: Remake twitter account has confirmed that Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake is coming this year:

Forever Entertainment is also doing a remake of House of the Dead 1 & 2, but we still haven’t gotten updates on that. I guess one game at a time.

Atlus published Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth delisted from Western PSN Stores as license expires

If you haven’t bought the digital versions of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception or Mask of Truth for either PlayStation 4 or Vita, you’re out luck. Atlus has delisted the games without warning because, according to a representative, the license ran out. The games still seem to be up on Steam, but those versions were published by DMM GAMES

While it does suck, it seems the physical versions are priced pretty fairly (Mask of Truth on Vita costs $25 bucks). To be honest both of these titles released in the West in 2017 and haven’t really heard too many people talking about them to the point of actually asking, do you think its worth it for a company like Atlus to update licenses for games that might not be selling so hot? Also shouldn’t these companies give us an advance noticed that these games will be delisted to see if any consumers want to add it to their library?

Atlus confirms 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim a success, teases Persona 25th Anniversary project coming 2021

Famitsu published their New Year card messages from 44 Japanese company, which many teased about what will be going on in 2021. One of these companies that let out some information on their 2021 plans was Atlus, which stated:

“13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim received high ratings and numerous awards, as well as surpassed 300,000 total sales in the year since its release.

“In addition to Shin Megami Tensei V and Project Re Fantasy (title tentative), which are in active development, in 2021 we’re also planning a ‘Persona 25th Anniversary’ commemoration project. Please look forward to it!”

I’ve been playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and having a great time, good to see it succeed even though I think it deserves a lot more sales than 300,000. I’m also looking forward to finally getting a real title for Project Re Fantasy and maybe even have it release!

As far as what the ‘Persona 25th Anniversary’ project will be, it will most likely be a Japanese only affair but we shall see.
