Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (the movie, not the Genesis video game) is less than a month away, and promotion has kicked into high gear with in-person events, weird press kits and soundtrack reveals. In the case of the latter, Paramount has debuted a new song from country music artist Jelly Roll entitled “Run It”. The Song is set to be included on the Sonic 3 movie soundtrack, but whether it is the end credits song has yet to be confirmed. However, given past end credit songs had debuts around this time before their respective movie’s release, it is likely that “Run It” is joining the ranks of “Speed Me Up” and “Stars In The Sky”.
The third Sonic movie is on the horizon, and with it is merch! Toys, plush, playsets and more are releasing right now – and on this video, Barry breaks down what is releasing, where to find it all, and what to pass on.

In a very Shadow filled week, the Paramount Pictures and Sonic movie social media accounts have shared an official look at the logo for the upcoming third Sonic film, which will fittingly be titled Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In addition to the logo reveal, which was accompanied by an orchestration of Sonic Adventure 2‘s “Live and Learn”, Variety broke the news that Jim Carrey is returning as Doctor “Eggman” Robotnik. Carrey’s involvement was up in the air after the actor alluded to retiring from acting, though he did say he was not fully retiring. Clearly the Sonic movies are a good time for Jim, which explains his returning to the role.
While yes, Shadow the Hedgehog officially made his theatrical debut in a mid-credits scene for the second Sonic the Hedgehog movie, it is worth noting that the model was largely a modified Sonic model intended only for that brief tease. Tails and Sonic also saw redesigns between their appearances in the first film and the second.
