First gameplay trailer for VANQUISH
Shinji Mikami’s VANQUISH gets its first gameplay trailer and it seems to have delivered on all fronts. At least to me, this looks like an excellent game.
I love the cheesy voice acting, I love how crazy fast, big explosions, and how it does not take itself seriously. Moving train levels, big bosses and fast combat? I want. Though the facial motion capture looks pretty bad.
First ever screens of Sonic the Hedgehog

June 7th, 1990, SEGA showed off Sonic the Hedgehog to the public at the Tokyo Game Show. When they showed it, the game was 2 months into development. So what they showed was very early.
Above is one of the first screens ever shown to the public and you can tell much has changed. First of all the background, from its odd city and mountains was changed in the final product. Though, regardless of stuff being changed, the art style and vision seemed to be there from day one. The other screen that 1up had was the early title screen, which looks a lot like the original only without the Green Hill Zone backdrop.

SEGA confirms E3 line-up
SEGA has confirmed what they will show at the show, at least on the show floor. Meaning playable in some form.
- VANQUISH
- Conduit 2
- Sonic Colors
- Shogun 2: Total War
- Tournament of Legends
- Phantasy Star Portable 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Ep 1
Pretty solid show floor line-up, of course, they will have some surprises for the press. It should be a fun E3 and we will obviously update you on what they have. E3 starts on June 15th and ends on the 17th.

SEGA thinks EA’s online pass is ‘very clever’

Mike Hayes has said that SEGA is looking at EA’s stance against used games, charging people that buy the game used a fee to play their games online.
“It is a very clever idea and is something we are certainly taking a look at”
Personally I think the system needs a way to transfer the license online before I get behind the idea. I don’t mind ‘Gamestop’ shoppers having to buy the license, but if I give my copy to a friend, I’m not cool with that. Personally I like EA’s own ’10 dollar project’ more, giving early buyers free DLC.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Trailer
SEGA has just released a very cool new trailer for the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.
The trailer shows off new moves and combos for each and every character, as well as giving us a look at some of the new stages that will feature.

Thor and Captain America concept art
Above is the concept art for both Thor and Captain America. This is to show off what their on screen outfits will look like. I have to say, the Captain America one is passable, but I do not like the Thor one that much.
If you did not know, SEGA will also be making a Thor and Captain America game based on the upcoming motion pictures. Hopefully they turn out better than the Iron Man games.

SEGA characters invade Modnation Racers

Even though SEGA released their own racing game, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, doesn’t mean SEGA characters can’t crash Sony’s Modnation Racers party. Since the game features some pretty deep create a character tools, it was expected that a SEGA fan would create their favorite characters in the game.
Our forum member Monkeroony has done just that. Creating Sonic, Shadow, Beat, Aiai, and even Ryo Hazuki. If you own the game, search for his creations or you can check them out here.

First Virtual-On Force trailer
SEGA have posted up a 3 minute trailer on their Vitural-On Force development blog. The game is going to be released on disc this time around and not DLC, pricing not confirmed either. But if they want full price for it, seems a bit much, no?
They want fans to tweet about the game with the hash tag: #voforce360. So get to it!
Alpha Protocol – Sharped dressed man trailer
Just because the game is already out, does not mean that SEGA will stop with them trailers. This one shows off how you can customize your characters cloths and even has a pretty funny comedy bit in the beginning.
Even though the game does not have super amazing graphics, its good to see color in it. Most western games with guns lack this and add bloom on top to piss me off.
Alpha Protocol sex scene
Here is the sex scene in Alpha Protocol that unlocks the achievement/trophy ‘Savage Love’. Even though its a sex scene, its very PG-13 and not graphic. I think it does better at showing you the dialog tree than most of the other trailers.
Alpha Protocol is out now in America on PC, PS3 and 360.
Rumor: “Sonic Free Riders” coming to Natal

Natal is suppose to have a big event on June 13th, one of the games that is suppose to launch with is “Sonic Free Riders” that is rumored to be an XBLA game.
To be honest, I hated Sonic Riders and if this is anything like it, I do not care. Sort of weird that its a XBLA title. We will keep you posted.

Shogun 2: Total War is official
It is now official, since IGN has a hands-on preview of the title. It is said the game will revolve around 8 war factions and not have the epic scope that Empire had.
The game will also offer small scale ambush fights to full scale wars. This should be pretty good, since Samurai anything is good in my book.

Pranks: SEGA puts Metal Sonic figurine in Jell-O
This is what I like to call a ‘well spirited’ prank, because after you get your belongs that are unharmed, you get to eat Jell-O. As Bill Cosby always said, there is always room for Jell-O.
Games SEGA could announce at E3 2010
SEGA trademarks “Mad Dragon”
So what could “Mad Dragon” be? Some people have guessed it could be the sequel to MadWorld, but in all seriousness, that would just be called MadWorld 2.
What do you think this will be?
