More Sega classics for digital distribution?

It seems like that may be on the cards, in the latest issue of industry weekly MCV, Alan Pritchard, Sega America’s vice president of sales and marketing hinted at just that. While being quizzed on the recent move of SoA to become a more digital focused arm of the company he said,

“There are a number of digital releases that we have slated for the next 12 to 18 months, most of which haven’t been announced yet. As you can imagine, there’s a world of old Sega IP that we can bring to market.”

Other news sites reporting this news have guessed that this could indicate more Sega classics updated in the style of Sonic the Hedgehog 4. However I see no direct indication of this and think it is far more likely that he is talking about ports of arcade and console classics.

*Crosses fingers* Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Panzer Dragoon and Jet Set Radio! Please!

It would be great seeing Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Darkside, even if it's not in HD.

A really long long shot, but Cosmic Carnage for the 32X would be awesooooooome.
