Another character from Wii exclusive MadWorld jumps into the world of Anarchy Reigns, this will make it the fourth character. If you are wondering the others: Jack, Matilda and Big Bull are all from the MadWorld universe.
Black Baron will be bringing his ‘Super Sexy Fists of Fire’ to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 later this year. Are you ready?

He's got a totally different voice.
Awww what the fuck!?!?!?!
Why the hell would they recast his voice actor? This had better be just for this trailer. Dude just came off a main role in FF13, so it's not like he quit acting.
A decision that makes no frigging sense. Like I said, this had better just be for the trailer.
Having never seen his MadWorld incarnation, I don't have a problem with the voice. Could be the original VA wanted more money, and PG/SEGA couldn't swing it.
It's truly unfortunate, as this new voice (IMO) completely ruins the character.
Here's 2 clips of MadWorld's Black Baron and you can be the judge:

The new guy doesn't even seem to be making an effort to sound like The Black Baron. Again and again I feel like Platinum Games/SEGA stopped caring about having good voice acting post-MadWorld.
Does his voice really bother you that much? I enjoyed Madworld too but this doesn't bother me in the slightest and it's actually kind of funny because after seeing the Black Baron's fate I don't think he'd have his gruff voice after his resurrection.
As far as P*'s voice acting goes I thought Bayonetta's voice acting was great, especially Luka's and Enzo's. Vanquish's I think was pretty meh but that was Mikami's game and as we all know his game's weren't known for having great voice acting.
His voice does bother me that much. The old guy who voiced him was an incredibly talented actor and he brought a whole level of sleeze and comic timing to the character, which seems totally lost in this new incarnation. If it didn't say "Black Baron" on his shirt I wouldn't have even thought it was him.
I'm guessing -nSega64- likes that Steve Blum at least is returning as Jack?
