As if SEGA’s 2012 lineup was not shaping up to be their finest as a third party publisher, the developer has just announced that the arcade exclusive The House of the Dead 4 will be finally making its way onto console as an exclusive for the Playstation Network. SEGA has announced that The House of the Dead 3 as well to be released on February 2012 for the Playstation Network, followed by The House of the Dead 4 releasing sometime in Spring 2012.
It is not known if the Playstation Move controller would be required to play the titles. With Yakuza: Dead Souls also releasing in March, SEGA will be giving gamers plenty of opportunities to shot down zombies en masses.

Way cool! Wish it were on 360 too, but no biggie. SEGA has done a good job keeping exclusives even.
FUCK YES. OH MY GOD
^this!!!
Very classy! I’d love to finally have a PS3 system by then (already own Valkyria 1 and Yakuza 4), but probably won’t have the Move controllers yet.
Just need HD versions of HotD 1&2 and the PS3 can be renamed “the machine that plays Yakuza and HotD”.
Hell fuckin yeah! Instant buy, thanx SEGA.
I’d get a Move controller for that.
Brilliant news, Sega is on a roll with these arcade ports! If they could follow this up with House of the Dead EX I will be ecstatic. The game was Japan only but has a English mode already pickable on the arcade rom, they introduced the characters in All-stars racing and it’s be the perfect Move mini game collection!
Epic, I’ll finally get to enjoy HoTD4 without driving to my arcade XD. Been wondering how it would finally find it’s way home.
Should be Move only. Only way to properly enjoy any light gun shooter.
Could we get a physical Lindbergh Arcade Collection similar to the DC Collection Vol.1?

We could totally get a few volumes.
finally!!
it’s been a while since the game first released on Arcade.
After seven agonizing years, all I can say is FINALLY! All we need is the first game for PSN and EX for Kinect.
I’m not even going to complain. I assume this means that HOTD Overkill sold well on the PS3, so well-deserved, I s’pose.
I assume this has been in the planning long before October of 2011. The sales of Overkill probably have nothing to do with this game, this is going digital titles.
Boxed sales aren’t the same as digital titles. Its a different market.
Good time to upload some scans again from my HotD guide along with some interviews from AM1.
Was expecting some HOTD Releases with Overkill being released.
Those Zombies with matching tattoos kill me.
Hey guys! Glad you’re excited for HOTD – you do not have to have the Move to play, although it is really fun with the sharp shooter. 🙂
