Project X Zone Trailer Released

We finally get to see Project X Zone in action, and I have to say, it looks pretty solid. Of course, looks can be decieving, and we still have little idea of how the game plays, or if we’ll even get a western release. Trailer has lots of little hints and tidbits of what else we’ll be seeing in the game as well. If you’re a fan of any of these companies, you may want to watch it a few times.

Well, after seeing this in action for the first time, I actually like the look of it a lot better than when I first saw the pics, it looks quite good considering SEGA, Capcom and Namco are only bringing this out for one system so far – which happens to be the least powered of this generation.

I wish they kept the original title idea for this game in like SEGAxCapcomxNamco, it would have been much cooler sounding and more prolific rather than the generic Project X Zone.

I’m interested in seeing more facets of the gameplay for this project, especially the non-battle and the plot-structure (missions? chapters?).

But it looks like pretty slick so far. I’m optimistic.

What jumped out at me is how weak that Bandai Namco Games logo is compared to the original Namco logo, not to mention Capcom’s and Sega’s iconic logos. Even the original Bandai logo was better than that thing. It looks like a fast food logo. I’m glad Sammy was smart enough not to pour their weaksauce on a classic logo when the merger happened.

    • Hitrax says:

Yes, I wondered why on earth they did that, the Namco logo looks far far far better on it’s own, it scares me to think that SEGA could nearly have done the same thing with Sammy a few years back at the time of their holding company merger.

I hope it has great game play! :0

I saw more Capcpom and Scamco footage then I did SEGA…

Shouldn’t the final third at least showcase some more SEGA characters instead of Capcom/Namco/Capcom/Namco again?

I doubt we’ll get this though.

Unless I’m wrong, I remember reading Sega was added to the project later. Also, they’re considerably less popular than Capcom/Namco. Still, it would have been nice to get equal screen time.

Namco is more popular than SEGA?
      Huh?

These are how the battles are supposed to work. I think they have a bit of a resemblance to another game by Banpresto called Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier.
