Fuudo won last year’s SEGA Cup? I saw the Grand Finals of EVO 2012, the one that featured VF5, and he went to town on his opponent.

Is it just me or it feels weird that Sega Cup features only Virtua Fighter?

It’s not just you and I think it’s a problem. It feels awkward for something with this spectacle to feature one game. I’d be a lot happier if two games were featured. Capcom did three for Capcom Cup. Bandai Namco, should they ever be interested, owns two 3D fighting game properties (tekken and soul calibur)

The problem of course is that there’s no prominent and currently-living second fighting game fighting game franchise after Virtua Fighter in SEGA’s stable.

Wish I could be there. I probably wouldn’t make it out of the first round, but it would be awesome to see some of the greatest players.
