SEGA Genesis Classics – SEGA Mega Drive Classics for those in Europe – releases today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To celebrate the launch, SEGA has released a bizarre video from Eclectic Method which mashes up various assets from the 50+ games included in the collection. The collection itself is a console port of the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Classics Hub which released to Steam back in 2016.
We reviewed the Steam release back when it launched, which you can read here, and plan to review the newly released SEGA Genesis Classics once we get a copy in our hands. Unfortunately SEGA hasn’t sent us an advance copy to preview and review (though they oddly sent a ton out to several low to mid-tier YouTubers). If SEGA is reading this, we have a YouTube show going on a channel that is doing pretty well for itself. So, you know, don’t forget about us next time please.
If you want to pick up a copy for yourself, and support SEGAbits, you can order the PlayStation 4 version here and the Xbox One version here.
