Valkyria Chronicles Remastered hits Nintendo Switch in the West on October 16

The Nintendo Switch has been given the name of a port console, so unsurprisingly we have a upcoming port of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered coming out for the Nintendo Switch on October 16, 2018 for $19.99. And yes, that means I will replay the game once again! SEGA has confirmed that the game will be digital only. This is a pretty good version, you can check out my Valkyria Chronicles Remastered review on the PlayStation 4.

If you pick up Valkyria Chronicles 4 digitally next month, SEGA will be giving you a 25% discount for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, bringing the total down to $14.99 before taxes. SEGA has also launched a Valkyria Chronicles Remastered website here with more information.

Personally hope that SEGA works with Limited Run Games and squeeze this remastered into their Nintendo Switch line-up they have going. I want ANOTHER physical copy of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered!

    Only one console left 😌

Why not the X1, why the Switch? Would far prefer this to come to Xbox One, makes more sense.
Not a fan of Nintendo hardware or platforms either.

  3. Me neither. Nintendo’s versions of other games have less decent game graphics. For example, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed on XBox looked way more detailed than the 3ds version. But I only have a 2ds and Playstation 2 so I make due with what I have lol!

Yeah I agree that in general Nintendo has worse looking versions especially during the Wii U and 3DS era, but Nintendo Switch is totally different and this game is from 2008. I think it should run just fine on the Nintendo Switch.

One thing that Nintendo Switch has over Wii U is that the porting software is made by Nividia and works well (which is why all these ports are coming out so fast), unlike Wii U that basically forced them to do way more work (thus almost no ports).

Nothing wrong with having more choices to buy the game on.
