It is crazy how many projects Ryu Ga Gotoku studio has!
– Project Century
– Virtua Fighter next
– Like a Dragon 9 at least in pre-production?
– and now Yakuza/LaD 0 Director’s Cut
I believe 0 Director’s Cut will be full remaster made with Dragon Engine in style of Yakuza 2, released also on PS, Xbox and PC. After remakes of 1, 2 and Ishin!, they chose to go for 0 instead of Kenzan!, 3 or 4.
I’m extremely excited for this one considering I absolutely loved yakuza kiwami on the switch. Now if only the switch 2 wasn’t so damn expensive! Hopefully the price for the game will be more forgiving compared to the other switch 2 games at launch, because at this rate, I don’t think I’ll be able to get my hands on it till Christmas or late winter next year at the earliest!
I think 0 Director’s Cut will be budget priced title. Gaiden and Pirate Yakuza also released at lower price points. SEGA’s politics seems quite reasonable, older Yakuzas are quite cheap on PS Store and the same goes for new Shinobi.
