Two Point Hospital Review: Laughter (And Good Gameplay) Is the Best Medicine (PC/Steam)

Over the past few months, I’ve been digging in to my backlog of games that I have purchased in the past and never got around to them. Doing so, I’m glad that I did as it expands my game knowledge and peaks interest in other genres I’ve never even considered. One of those games was Two Point Hospital, which if you asked me a few years ago if I was ever going to play it, I would have said probably not. Unfortunately, I wrote it off as generic and since it was focused as a PC resource management sim, I never really gave it any attention. Come to January of 2024 and I played a small indie game called dotAGE and it was about taking care of a village of people and preparing them for future doom and disaster events. It was the only full game I’ve had played in the genre and it let me open up the flood gates for more games in similar fashion. Having played the Sims in the past, TPH may be thought of as a clone or ripoff of it and that can’t be further from the truth. In my opinion, it was if you combined the RM system from dotAGE and other games like it and the customization of your world/home in the Sims. And what you get is an amazing, hilarious, and fun game for hours on end building hospitals to your liking and style.

Supersega’s long, crazy history as a crowdfunding scam

You might recall last Summer when we talked about the announcement of a new FPGA console called the SuperSega. It was proposed as a console that could accurately run games from any original Sega console off of it’s original media, even Dreamcast games. I was cautiously optimistic as I wrote about the console, though the general consensus online, including from our own commenters, was that the SuperSega was destined to be vaporware. After a few short months, a couple of sketchy video demonstrations of the SuperSega hardware, and some ultra sketchy pre-orders that took way more money from people than they agreed to pay, it’s looking like it’s worse than even the naysayers thought at the time. Gotta give them credit.

We might be late in talking about this now, but because I had already reported on the SuperSega as if it was potentially going to be a legitimate product, we may as well take some time to go over all that had transpired regarding this new console since my original article. Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut Announced for Nintendo Switch 2; Launches on June 5

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, the definitive edition of the critically acclaimed origin story in the series, was officially announced by SEGA and RGG Studio for Nintendo Switch 2 during the Direct. The Director’s Cut edition will include new content and features such as:

  • Never-before-seen cutscenes with deeper insight into key incidents and character backstories.
  • Red Light Raid online 4-player online mode with up to 60 unlockable characters.
  • French, Italian, German, Spanish subtitles
  • English Dub Voice Over

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
