SEGA may reveal the future of Virtua Fighter in the next Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable

Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable is a online session stream with popular fighting game publishers within Japan such as Bandai Namco and Arc System Works as they discuss behind the scenes development of their titles to the fighting game community.

In the latest online session towards the end of the stream, Bandai Namco’s Naoya Yasuda revealed that SEGA is apparently on board in joining the next roundtable to discuss the future of the Virtua Fighter series; most likely to discuss the Virtua Fighter x eSports project.

SEGA has previously stated that Virtua Fighter, the world’s first 3D fighting game in 1993, will be rebooted first in Japan to celebrate Sega’s 60th anniversary during Tokyo Game Show 2020.
