A look at SEGA All-Star Racing’s achievements

SASASRachivements

The achievements for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing were posted a few days ago, but it was missing the secret achievements; now the list is complete. As for trophies, I assume they will all be the same, it even has an achievement that acts like a platinum trophy called “Ultimate Collection.”

The names for the achievements are awesome, love all the SEGA references, it even has Project Rub. Kudos to the guys at Sumo Digital, they know how choose achievement names. Check all the achievements here.

SEGA having another PSN sale this week

SEGA has announced that they will be having a Valentine’s day sale on their PSN content; the games listed this time are the same as their New Years sale it seems. They promised that this time they will have bundles, something that was missing from the last sale.

Crazy Taxi, Full Auto 2, Sonic Unleashed DLC, Valkyria Chronicles DLC, and Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 have all been confirmed to be in the sale. Maybe SEGA will make a really nice Valkyria Chronicles DLC bundle for us.

Lamb of God writing a song for Iron Man 2

SEGA has signed up two time Grammy-Nominated heavy metal band Lamb of God to write a song for their upcoming Iron Man 2 video game. The song being used in the game is going be completely new and written exclusively for the game.

“The music of Lamb of God definitely evokes the intensity of Iron Man action and we are very excited to have them working with us for the game, This new track will add even more atmosphere to the cinematic gaming experience that Iron Man 2 brings to the table.” – Sean Ratcliffe, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America.

I wouldn’t consider myself the biggest Lamb of God fan, but I have seen them live a few times and they do put up a great show. Hit the jump to read the full press release.

Head over to SonictheHedgehog4.com if you want to see the game model to Sonic’s old foe.

Like most trends in video games, this new release also offers up co-op play; how good that plays is yet to be decided. You will be able to pick up your copy on February 9th; so tomorrow.

Aliens vs Predator demo gets 14k downloads on Xbox Live

The multiplayer demo of Aliens vs Predator has been downloaded over 14,000 times over the weekend on Xbox Live. It is not all sunny news, since the PC version has recently patched a matchmaking bug, the Playstation 3 version is set to get a demo patch as well, according to Rebellion. They also say they are “really sorry”. Kind of hard to drop 60 bucks on a game when the demo is broken.

“Just looking at how the demo’s been rated on Xbox Live tells its own story – 14,000 downloads in a few days and an approval rating of 4.5/5, we’re absolutely delighted with the response….The one unforeseen issue was the matchmaking on PS3, that really came out of left field and we’ve still got Sony engineers helping us look into what is at fault. I understand why people question how it wasn’t spotted sooner but we just can’t replicate that kind of scale in normal testing.”

Very interesting. I expect Aliens vs Predator to do very well on the Xbox 360 and PC; should do alright on Playstation 3. Early reviews have been harsh and I hope bigger sites like IGN and 1up give out more informative and unbiased reviews. We shall post our review up when it launches.

SEGA All-Stars Racing Demo is up! (XBLA)

The Sonic & SEGA Allstar Raing demo has finally gone up! I am currently downloading the Xbox360 version which is 1.03GB. Rumour has it that on the Xbox360 version there are two playable characters, Sonic and Banjo.
(Apparently the demo is only open to people with gold accounts.)

The PS3 version it is not up yet, It will probably be up this Thursday (11th) when PSN is updated.

A look at SEGA’s 2010 line-up

Can you name all the games that SEGA has planned for 2010? I could probably name quite a few and still miss some, that is why we now have a video that shows us most of those games coming out in 2010. The video was made by our resident troll, SEGA Uranus. Eikichi Yazawa’s Loser is used in the video, the song was the theme song for Yakuza 3 in Japan.

What games are you guys most excited for? I personally can’t wait to get my hands on Yakuza 3.
