SEGA and Atlus storm Metacritic’s best-reviewed 3DS games chart

segaatlus3ds
Metacritic have released their list of the 25 best reviewed 3DS titles of 2015 where SEGA and Atlus have swept the floor with the competition. Metacritic– for those who don’t know– compiles review scores from major video game critics to find the average score.

SEGA and Atlus boast almost half of the list with 12 of the 25 spots, including two of the highest rated games; 3D Streets of Rage II and 3D Gunstar Heroes both scoring a well deserved 89/100. (Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask 3D also scored 89.)
Also worth mentioning is SEGA and Atlus’ success on the PS Vita in 2015, where they claimed 5 of the top 25 best scoring games.
Unsurprisingly the duo didn’t fair so well on home console, having barely released anything for those systems 2015. Choosing to bump many of their games in 2016 for longer development cycles.

Announcement: SEGAbits presents Sonic & SEGA Fan Jam 2015 website launch and donations

FanJam2015

Last November, we at SEGAbits hosted our very own gathering for all SEGA fans & gamers. The event was named Sonic & SEGA Fan Jam 2014, and was made possible with the awesome help of The Guild Hall of Savannah which provided us the venue space. As the person who spearheaded the event, it was a great experience to host a convention which celebrated SEGA’s video games ranging from classic to current releases. Attendees had a variety of games to play, SEGA fan films from talented filmmakers and animators to watch, and special guest appearances of talented Archie Comics Sonic The Hedgehog artist Tracy Yardley and Matt M. the host of Sonic The Hedgehog YouTube channel Tails Channel!

This year, we are happy to announce the launch of the Sonic & SEGA Fan Jam 2015 website, announcing the event coming this Fall. Like any sequel, we aim to make it bigger for everyone in the southern east coast area with more games, activities, and special guests from the SEGA community. In addition to the official site, we’ve worked on developing a Facebook page for the event to keep you guys up to date on news and special guest appearances. In the coming months, we will announce special guests, ticket prices, and many more details. Want to show your support by helping us with donations for the event? New Sonic the Hedgehog game due in 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Wii U

The toy company Jazwares featured an interesting sign at last week’s Nuremberg toy fair. As reported by The Sonic Stadium, the sign charts the future of the Sonic brand including the reveal that 2015 will see the release of a new Sonic game for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Wii U. Little else is revealed, but the lack of Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 may be a sign that Sonic’s days on those platforms have come to an end. Also interesting, no sign of the supposed third exclusive Wii U Sonic title. Either it is still on the way, and has yet to be revealed, or the upcoming 2015 is that third title and the deal with Nintendo has since changed. More on Sonic 2015 adventure as we hear it!

Also detailed is the upcoming CG cartoon series Sonic Boom, however none of the information is new.
