SEGA’s latest partnership with a third party developer ought to get a few fans excited, as Double Fine will be teaming up with the Blue Skies developer to develop a 2.5D adventure. The game will allow players to take control of one of seven characters, all with their unique abilities and story. Being headed by Ron Gilbert, the title is set to take players into the Cave, which happened to be a talking cave earlier in development, a talking cave that has tried its hand in dating. If that has interested you, head over to Destructoid for further information on the game. It is set to be available for Playstation 3, Xbox360 and PC with a release date sometime in 2013.

While it doesnt look bad, it doesnt look “SEGA” at all either.
It looks allright
to be fair they’re publishing, not developing.
also, it looks about as “sega” as spiral knights or “hell yeah!”
I agree Hell Yeah does not look like a SEGA title, but a lot of the Spiral Knights dev said they were inspired by SEGA games and to be fair, it does have a Monster World vibe.
Yeah I actually think spiral knights and this game fit well enough in the sega style. hell yeah looks a little new groundsy.
Ywah i agree about HELL YEAH but spiral knights does look original yet colorfull like most sega ip’s. I think spiral knights does suit the sega brand but it being a new ip probably makes getting used to it, and as aki mentioned, the devs drew inspiration from sega games.
This cave game looks very different though. U wouldnt think of it being a sega game even after playing it a while. Publishers Like nintendo and capcom have very distinct styles in their games and i dont feel the cave does that.
Well this is jst for the sake of argument
Looks like a Metroidvania kind of game. Neat!
Hm….is this digital or retail?
…and it’s digital according to IGN.
Looks quite dark and reminds me of LBP. Don’t know what to think about it right now. The trailer implies “beginning 2013”.
