Today is a great day to be a SEGA arcade lover of the 90’s. The three legendary AM2 fighters that ran on the MODEL 2 hardware is now available on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade for only $4.99 (400 MSP) each. Also, for those who are wondering about an option to change the screen size, there is an option to do that under “Settings” from 4:3 to full. I’ve just played it this morning and they are all way better than the original ports from the Sega Ages 2500 line and Gems Collection. Hope they sell well because I want some of that The House of the Dead and Dynamite Cop on my home console. Anyone up for some matches this weekend?

For VF 2, the “Full” option stretches the picture, rather than formatting it to a wide screen ratio.
I loved seeing the game again with 3D backgrounds and it’s quite sharp in HD. I played up to Leon, who squats low to the ground, so I couldn’t hit the bugger with much of anything and gave up.
House of the Dead? Yeah, it’d be great but with no light gun, what do we do? Unless they finagle the kinect to have it where just pointing your finger at the screen shoots off a round and pointing it to the ground reloads.
Far as Dynamite Cop, how about a two-fer with Die Hard Arcade (unless they can’t get the rights for the name anymore).
House of the Dead? Move controller. They’ve done it for 3 HOTD games so far.
PIKUDOG
“In our hearts we’ll remember forever. R.I.P. We all love you.”
Seriously, what’s with the depressing graffiti in Cand’y s level. Also “Honey R.I.P.” Isn’t Honey, Candy’s other name?
Honey is her Japanese name.
I want Virtua Cop
Move works for PS3 but what about Xbox 360? I have to say I’m disappointed that there isn’t a proper widescreen support as seen on Daytona USA.
Last Bronx, House of the Dead (though not sure how they’d do it on Xbox) and Sega Rally would be lovely.
It’s good to finally get that Arcade perfect port, the way the games were originally intended and meant to be. Perfection.
Ok, I just played through Fighting Vipers and it looks A-MAYYYY-ZING! I want Fighters Megamix now more than ever. I would have rather had that with VF2 and FV than Sonic the Fighters.
