Spread out throughout the month of June 2022 was news that Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable would soon be launching on Xbox consoles, PC platforms (Persona 4 Golden has already been on Steam since June 2020), and PlayStation 5. For Xbox and Windows PC users, all three will also be part of Xbox Game Pass following their launch on Microsoft platforms. It was finally also revealed at the end of Nintendo’s Mini Partner Showcase Direct from June 28th that all three will now finally release worldwide on Nintendo Switch as well. This is all part of Atlus’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Persona series of games.
Up until now, Persona 4 Golden had been exclusive to Steam and PS Vita, the latter of which played host to it’s debut release, Persona 5 Royal was exclusive to PS4 outside of Japan, and Persona 3 Portable had never been ported anywhere since it’s original debut on PSP way back in 2010. Now, each of these games will be far more accessible to fans everywhere, regardless of whatever gaming platform they have or prefer, before the end of the year. On top of this, each game will be presented in full HD with the option of either Japanese or English voice acting, making these the definitive versions of each game.
Persona 5 will launch on each platform on October 21st, 2022. Persona 3 and 4 are listed as coming soon. In the meantime, you can also check out Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on every platform.
Check the official Persona series website for more info.
