Neptune screenshots are released

Neptune, a game being developed by Compile Hearts and being published by SEGA, is going to take ‘console wars’ to another level. The game will be an RPG, to read more information click here.

As for the screens, the graphics are very PS2 like, not that it is a bad thing. Just expected better. I hope the game is fun and there is a English release. I can dream, right?

Looks like they plan on blinding the monster with the power of bloom!

They could do more in the graphics department, but what else do you expect in these games? You have the characters and monster focused on the center in a turn-based set-up. We'll see it in action in a video soon enough (and hopefully play it ourselves).

The bit on the bottom-right corner looks interesting, though.

  2. Not impressed yet. They say it has this whole video game system thing going on, but I don't see it yet. Maybe once SEGA character cameos or game hardware shows up I'll be excited. As it stands it looks less like SGGG and more like a typical RPG.

What are its chances of being localized?

On the last Neptune article or two back, I mentioned a couple potential publishers with connections to a few Compile Heart games, so I'd say it's a possibility for now.

From Sega, like George said, NEVER.

Not sure if you've seen these, but I guess you kind of have to be in-the-know to catch them, especially the RPG companies:
