Rumour: More Digital Dreamcast games and New Genesis Collection?

Well this is certainly interesting if true.

Fudzilla is reporting that SEGA’s recent announcement of Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure may just be the start of a cavalcade of Dreamcast games making their way to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. They even go on to say that Jet Set Radio could be the next cab off the rank, which would be great news!

In addition to this, they also claim that another Sega Genesis/Mega Drive collection may be in the works, featuring some of the titles that were not included in the first pack. Interesting if true, so fingers crossed for some more Retro-Goodness!

Not sure how I feel about another Genesis collection as I do not think SEGA ever picks that many good ones.

Also not sure how I feel about a site called Fudzilla.

I think there being more DC games in the future is a given… As for another Genesis Collection. I think the best of the bunch are already on the first one… Everything else is slim pickings.

  3. Pao says:

    I want Saturn games.

So… Sonic Adventure isnt in Wide screen but Crazy Taxi is?

    WTF is this shit.

Sega of America have been turned into a group focused on bringing us digital games and they STILL half arse it?

I don't think it would hurt to fix up some of the poorer textures either… Sega Japan did it for Virtual On why not Sega America?

Sega confirmed on it's blog yesterday that there will be other Dreamcast games. It was pointed out in the original announcement post on SegaBits.

Why is it that we are getting Dreamcast games that are already ported?

Crazy Taxi 3 is on X-Box make that DLC because it has all the content from Crazy Taxi 1 & 2 and more. It is more like an expansion pack with enhanced graphics.

Sonic Adventure wasn't an imporoved version ported to Gamecube & PC called Sonic Adventure DX, why not port that.

Jet Set Radio: isn't Jet Set Radio Future an expansion pack as well.

If you must give us Dreamcast games give us something that was exclusive to the system like Propeller Arena, that is a true gem.

    I second Pao's motion.

@cube_b3: I thought the same damn thing. In fact, since I haven't played Adventures since it was demoed at Target I thought about getting the GC port and play it on the Wii. Now, I just have to wait (which is what Sega would've wanted, anyway).

Then again, just look at how many games haven't been released yet on VC, PSN and Live. I mean, FFIX was just released in Europe and the U.S. is barely getting it next week.

I don't mind the wait for certain games, only as long we know it's coming at all.

No, it's a completely different game.
