Ninja Gaiden III producer calls Bayonetta outdated

Bayonetta was awesome, developer Platinum Games wanted to set a new bar for action games and I think they set it high. What does producer Yosuke Hayashi think?

“Bayonetta has some good stuff but Bayonetta is old, game design wise, already.”

For Ninja Gaiden 2 fans, he says that the game was also outdated. Is he correct? A bit. Hey Yosuke Hayashi, you know who used to talk crap about the competition? The old head of Team Ninja, Tomonobu Itagaki. Have to say, it’s a pretty outdated tactic.

If this guy wants me to like his game, he's doing it wrong.

    Tecmo, bring Itagaki back!!!

  2. Yyyyeah… I mean the game IS from 2009, so of course it would be outdated in a sense. Still, it's FUN AS HELL and throwing insults at it doesn't help. "some good stuff"? Try "packed with great stuff".

Bayonetta has some outdated design mechanics, but nothing that holds the game down. Ninja Gaiden II on the other hand…

I think there is so much you could do with both the Ninja Gaiden series and a potential Bayonetta 2 though, in fact especially in the case of the latter I feel they had some great ideas that they held back because they do eventually want to make a sequel.

Bar the 2009 Graphics there is nothing out dated about Bayonetta… I honestly can't think of a game in the genre that is quite as deep, fluid and just fun to play.

Load of crap. Bayonetta is better than anything tecmo would ever produce. I would say that ninja gaiden is even more dated. Not that it's a bad game though. His statement makes no sense and comes of more like jealousy, hatred or as a marketing stunt rather than fact.

    Is he having a laugh?!
