This weekend some kind of information regarding the long awaited Phantasy Star Online 2 will be revealed! This reveal will take place at the ‘Thanks Festa’ (Japan) on 4/24/2011 JST.
You can watch the Festa live along with the Infinity Grand Prix on Nico Nico, a Japanese website similar to YouTube. (Provided that premium members don’t nab your seat first.)
I will be watching with bated breath, I don’t care if they only show a photo of a Japanese man enjoying PSO2 from afar, I’m far to excited about this game! BRING ON THE WEEKEND!

my body is ready
pretty excited of course!
Forget about generations. This is getting my full attention now!!
PLEASE let it be free to play.
@Fallout911: Most likely it won't be free to play, servers cost money to be up and maintain.
If it ends up being free to play, most likely it'll have micro-transactions instead.
I'm realllllly hoping for Micro-transactions, it'll make the game far more accessible to anyone who cannot afford to pay which means there will be a bigger community and it'll last much longer.
If Sega can find a way to make in-game shops work with real cash and that sustain their sever costs then that would be amazing.
Yep, I'm hoping for micro transactions, at least I can hope for decent drops and not have to pay every month for a game that I'll probably only have time to play for a few hours a month.
I think SEGA should focus on making more content for money. Don't put super high powered items for 8 bucks, what is the point of playing? They should just put a lot of 'vanity' items for like 99 cents to 2 bucks. Stuff like things you buy for your avatar on Xbox Live, hats, shirts etc.
As for the big bucks, mission packs, episodes etc. I would pay one time few to get new areas for sure. Happily.
The can do premium membership for users that allow them to get all vanity items for free, as long as they pay the monthly fee and extra perks like a bigger house and bonuses when doing mission. Something like 10% more xp after missions.
Not only will the dedicated get all they want (all items, exclusives etc) but the casuals will be able to pick up the game and play it from time to time without being scared off the $10 dollar a month fee.
I agree that it should be free to play and then have special content or quests for people who want to pay money for additional content. More people are likely to join in on the fun.
Can't wait to hear the news!
Thank goodness, great news!
