Pre-Alpha Binary Domain walkthrough

Check out this video walkthrough of Binary Domain, the latest title from famed SEGA designer Toshihiro Nagoshi and his development team. The walkthrough happens to be the Pre-Alpha build of the title and considering the stage it is set in, more than likely the E3 build that curiously SEGA wished to have no video footage to be taken. The walkthrough covers what has already been known such as the procedural damage, the tactical choices the players can take and several other items of note.

Binary Domain is set to release next year on 14th February for North America and 17th February for Europe.

Binary Domain is turning out rather nicely. To be honest though, I’m really not a fan of cover-based shooting and it seems like that will be a very core element to the gameplay. =( I feel torn.

That looks really incredible. Outside of the one car in the middle of the alley the graphics also looked really fantastic too.

    I am really excited.

    3 guesses as to why…..

Okay, NOW you guys can finally see what I’ve been talking about, having played it at E3. After you watch a fully rendered cutscene, the characters are then dropped into the area (And you can’t tell me that area doesn’t look like a Yakuza 3 back alley) where they just stand around and chat with subtitles, which you press A/X to cycle through, but no cutscenes. Action game fans are going to be scratching their heads almost immediately.

I also love how the main character’s name is Dan. ….they don’t give a last name, though I’m sure the game will reveal that he’s actually known as Dan ApplePie.

Sorry but I still can’t get behind this, lol. Check out the new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines for how a game coming out in 2012 should look.

first of all his name is Dan Marshall… not like this is important anyway!
this video prove nothing of your claims… the game looks superb and it’s quite clear the in-game engine is as good as the cut-scenes even in this early stage!
and the reason why SEGA don’t want to show this game is not like what you guessed! it’s because as you can see it’s based on a “Pre Alpha code”
SEGA did the exact same thing with Aliens:CM if this prove anything to you! and guess what? at least in BD there are some incredible physics/destruction and weapon impact never seen anywhere! (yes it’s that good) unlike Aliens:CM which doesn’t feel like you are shooting anything!(based on the last trailer)

hahaha I was joking, man. But in all honesty, talk about a cliche American name. :/
