Unleashed Project Mod out now for Sonic Generations

Sonic Generations already had one of the daytime levels from Sonic Unleashed (Rooftop Run), but what if you want more? Well, thanks to Sonic fans you can now play eight more redesigned stages in 60fps and any resolution your rig can handle!

No console limitations. This means support for unlimited resolutions, high-quality texture filtering and 60 FPS gameplay as long as you have the hardware for it. Stages that had performance problems in the original game now work perfectly (with a proper setup). Just features you’d expect from a regular PC version!

Eight Modern Sonic stages completely readapted from Sonic Unleashed. Lots of layout improvements, recreation of gimmicks, and fixing various bugs/glitches.

Want to know more and how to install it? Check out the Moddb page on it.

God DAMMIT I need to build a good gaming PC.

Why the fuck Sega couldn’t release more stages as Dlc!?

  3. I highly recommend anyone to download the 60 fps version of the trailer they have on the moddb page. My computer could not handle Sonic Generations, but it could handle the video for the most past and it looked amazing. I always believed Sonic could benefit from a higher fps like racing and fighting games. I just hope the next game that comes out is no less the 60fps. Honestly ever since 120 hz tvs came out, I wanted to play Sonic at 120 fps. One day, I am sure.

Makes me wonder if my rig can handle it. I bought Generations for PS3 already though.

My computer is more workstation oriented but seeing if my computer could handle that at my monitors native resolution (2650×1440) would be a hell of a freak show.

The video chipset in my rig handles most games very well including COD4 and others but it’s a Nvidia 320m.

According to the index in Windows 7 it is the weakest link with a 4.7 while the highest being workstation oriented is the CPU, RAM, and storage being the best scoring components all while running on only one of my CPU cores. O_O

Building another Frankenputer and wonder how a 8 core server with the right video card would perform? Then hooking it up to my 240hz TV would give me some killer results. The only problem is that this rack mount chassis 2U height sounds like a warp drive system on Star Trek… Not the most desktop friendly result but it’s why it’s called a Frankenputer.

It is quite pathetic that fans can make more add on content then Sega. It is especially pissing off as Sonic Team hasn’t rushed into a new console game either.

I am glad they didn’t do that, but I kinda wished we got a hell of a lot of DLC for Generations.
