For those stuck on the Apple ecosystem and wanting to play Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (not Transformed), the wait ends tomorrow. The game will come out exclusivly on the Mac App Store and will haveonline multiplayer using Apple’s own Game Center. The game will cost fans $24.99 (£17.49, €21.99).

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing brings SEGA mascot Sonic the Hedgehog and 21 other favourite SEGA characters to the Mac platform for the very first time.
Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi the monkey and the rest of the cast race to the checkered flag in cars, motorbikes, planes, hover cars and even a “banana mobile”! Tracks inspired by SEGA’s celebrated game worlds, including Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball, range from medieval castle ramparts and lush rainforests to downtown Tokyo and even a gravity-defying casino!
To stay ahead of the competition, players can use secret shortcuts, devious weapons and devastating power-ups liberally sprinkled along each track. Each character comes equipped with their own game-changing “All-Star Move” such as Sonic’s “Super Sonic” and Dr. Eggman’s “Missile Madness”.
Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing will support online multiplayer for up to four players using Apple’s Game Center technology, as well as player achievements and iCloud syncing.

Minimum system requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac with at least 4.0GB RAM, 256MB or better graphics card and Mac OS 10.8.3 or later. The following graphics cards are not supported: ATI X1xxx series, ATI HD2xxx series, Intel GMA series and NVIDIA 7xxx series.
I don’t know why someone has to be “stuck on the apple ecosystem.” A Mac can run Windows just fine. When something comes out for Windows you don’t say, “for those stuck on the Microsoft ecosystem.”

like.. why didn’t they just port Transformed to Mac? it’s almost like they are making fun of it by porting such an old game.
Probably due to showing that Apple (and their fans) isn’t (aren’t) the be all and end all when it comes to proper gaming and not the iOS crap we see.
