SEGA announces Yakuza 6 release date and premium edition

SEGA has confirmed that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will launch both digitally and physically in the Americas and Europe on March 20, 2018. SEGA has also priced the game at $59.99. Nothing surprising there. But SEGA did confirm that people that pre-order get a launch copy that includes a hardcover art book that doubles as a disc holder. Pretty neat.

But that isn’t all, there will also be a “After Hours Premium Edition” that you can see on the top of this page. This will retail for $89.99 and will come out in all regions! This premium edition includes:

  • Hardcover Art Book – The intense human drama and magnetic world of Yakuza 6 will be on display in this stunning art book. We’ll have more details on what will fill the pages at a later date.
  • 2 Bar Glasses (280ml) – Designed with Kiryu’s ferocious dragon tattoo, these bar glasses are the perfect receptacles for your beverage of choice.
  • 2 Ice Stones – Cool down your drinks with a pair of heat action branded ice stones! One features the flame heat action icon, while the other has the Japanese “kiwami” heat action icon. Chilling has never been so… extreme.
  • 2 Coasters – A true yakuza knows how to relax with class, so coasters are a must have when lounging after hours. Protect table surfaces with style by placing your glasses on top of official Tojo Clan branded coasters. Plus, you won’t need to play the “is this my drink?” game because of their inverted colors!
  • An Outer Box – All of these essential tools will be housed within a collectible outer box.

Are you picking up Yakuza 6? If so, what version?

  1. That’s the best collector edition I’ve ever seen and the most practical. After hours for me

  2. Sign me up for that After Hours package. In fact, it’s remarkably cheap compared to most AAA game premium editions like that, which is shocking. I just need to figure out where I’m gonna put those glasses and ice stones so nothing happens to them

I’ve been liking that SEGA hasn’t been asking us to break the bank to get these Collector Editions.
