Sonic Movie Rumor: Mid-Credits Cameo Revealed

I’ll admit, we’ve been pretty quiet on the Sonic movie news front lately, but today we have a juicy rumor regarding a cameo that appears during the movie’s credits sequence. You’ll note we did not spoil this in the headline, image, tags or before the “read more” bit because we want to respect those who don’t want to be spoiled.

Still want to hear the rumor? Read on!

The rumor we heard, which comes from a trusted source, is that Miles “Tails” Prower himself will cameo in a mid-credits scene. We were told Tails is voiced and the gist of the scene is that Tails comes out of a ring portal saying something like “The signals say he should be here”, referring to Sonic. No word on who voices Tails.

Presumably, this is setting up a “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” movie with Tails joining the cast. Should the first movie be profitable, of course. Mid-credits cameos like this are not new to modern day movies, especially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony Spider-Man films. If this rumor pans out to be true, which we’re pretty certain it is, it could be a really cool tease for a sequel.

What are your thoughts on a possible Tails cameo? Sound off in the comments below!

WHAAAAAA?! If this is true then Paramount really IS trying to win back fans. Hopefully they gave Miles a good design since it hasn’t been publicly shown.

  2. It’s hard to believe that the Sonic movie will be releasing in like two weeks! Personally, I can’t wait to see it in theaters February 14.

Yay! Just about my birthday, 4 days after.

  4. Anon says:

It is … real … it does Sega justice and does not look horrible.

  5. Personally, I feel that they should introduce the Chaos Emeralds first. If the rumors are true, I may have no choice but to cancel my pitch for the Sonic movie sequel.
