New described details on modes and features showcased in Sonic Colors Ultimate Japanese Website

The official Japanese website for Sonic Colors Ultimate has been updated with descriptions on the new modes and features that will be included in the upcoming remaster which were also shared on the spotlight video that was uploaded by the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube Channel. Rival Rush

“If you defeat the area boss while collecting a certain number of Red Star Rings in a stage, you can challenge the “Rival Rush” race against Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic is quite a formidable opponent!　Players who are confident in their skills should definitely give it a try! The race can be replayed as many times as you like, but the reward for winning is limited to the first time you win.”

Park Tokens

“Park Tokens have been added as in-game currency that can be obtained by playing the game! Park Tokens can be obtained from the results after clearing a stage, depending on the score earned, record set, and other achievements. These tokens can be used to unlock bonus content such as customization items that can change Sonic’s appearance, songs, artwork, etc. They can also be used to continue when you fail in Challenge Mode or Game Land.”

Customization

“You can purchase and set customization items and set player icons from the “Option Satellite”.
You can purchase and configure customization items and set player icons from the “Option Satellite”. Changing the customization items will not affect the performance of the game.”

“During the Rival Rush challenge, a progress indicator will appear on the left side of the screen, showing the progress of the player and Metal Sonic in each stage. You can change Sonic’s icon in the progress indicator by purchasing the “Player Icon” from the “Option Satellite”.”
