Help HVS improve Conduit 2 by pointing out glitches from Conduit 1!

Given that the Wii can’t do patches, any glitches that come in a shipped game obviously won’t be fixed. As a result, HVS is pulling out all the stops to ensure Conduit 2 is as glitch free as possible; including using the original Conduit as a beta test for the sequel! HVS is asking fans to send in every glitch they can find in the original game, to ensure that they won’t find their way into the original.

You can submit your glitch reports here. Keep in mind you’ll have to register.

Conduit 2 will support Wii Motion Plus

In a press release earlier today, SEGA has announced that Conduit 2 will be supporting the Wii’s Motion Plus peripheral to allow for unmatched accuracy and responsiveness.

In their press release, SEGA has stated:

The Conduit series is famed for its detailed control system allowing players to customise and configure their controls, including look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more. Conduit 2 will use Wii MotionPlus to create the most responsive control system ever, as well as improved edge tracking and transitions to pointer control.

Unlike Red Steel 2, Wii Motion Plus will not be required to play the game, but will instead be optional. Conduit 2 will be playable at this year’s E3.

SEGABITS heading to E3, courtesy of The Sonic Stadium!

Alright, so some of you may be wondering why I suddenly started doing updates for SEGAbits. Is it because they are the awesomenest SEGA fan site in the world? Why of course! But beyond that, it’s because I was recently offered the chance to go to E3 on for the awesomenest Sonic website in the world, The Sonic Stadium! Being more of a SEGA fan then just a Sonic fan, I thought it would be a waste to go to the show without providing my SEGA chums with some coverage from the floor coverage!

So, what can we expect from this? Well, hands on previews, obviously (Vanquish and any surprise games being at the top of my list, currently). You can expect off screen videos and photos as well, as well as impressions for the 3DS, Move, and Natal (as well as a comparison between the latter too). Finally, we’re also looking to get some interviews with Platinum Games and High Voltage software, if everything goes well.

Of course, for all Sonic related coverage, you’ll need to head over to Sonic Stadium. Since I am going to E3 for both websites, the two sites will providing joint coverage of everything SEGA related at the show. We’ll be sure to let you know whenever something new is posted over at TSS!

Finally, I would like to send out a HUGE thanks to Kellie, Aaron, and all the other awesome people over at Sega of America for making this possible. It is this sort of dedication to the fan community that makes SEGA such a special company, and one of the many reasons why I consider them one of the best companies in the history of gaming. We at SEGAbits really appreciate this chance.

Work at Ramen shop in Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapter

Tatsuya will be able to get jobs, to earn money. One of the jobs recently revealed is working at a Ramen restaurant named Kyushu Ichibanboshi.

Famitsu screenshots reveal that the part time job will be a rhythm mini-game. You will be behind the counter, facing the screen and buttons will scroll across. Press the button, Tatsuya puts the ingredient in the ramen. Simple.

SEGA has already signed 3 real life models for their Hostess part of the game. Those are Yuu Tejima, An Nakamura and Aya Hoshi. An Nakamura is even shown pole dancing in one of the screens. I wonder how long you have to work at making ramen to get some of that action?

Yakuza 4 confirmed playable at E3

It has been confirmed that SEGA will have Yakuza 4 playable at E3 this year. If I’m correct, this is the first Yakuza game to appear at E3 outside the first one. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Regardless, if you really want to get some hands on time with Yakuza 4, you can always hit up the Japanese PSN and download the demo. Simple dimples.

Sonic Colors turns Sonic into a light beam

Famitsu has given up some more Sonic Colors information, to feed all your Sonic loving thirst.  We already know that in Colors, Sonic teams up with aliens called Wisps to stop Eggman from building “Eggman Planet Park.” Which in my opinion sounds like a great park.

The Wisps in the game give Sonic special powers called “Color Power.” The White Wisp gives Sonic the power “Cyan Laser” which turns Sonic into a beam of light, which increases his speed and lets him bounce off walls.

In the game you will find Wisps in different colors, each offering their own unique ability. One that was mentioned before was the ability to dig underground. Other bit of information is that the DS version will span both screens and the Wii will have full 3-D maps. The game comes out in Japan this Winter.

Tournament of Legends, Bast vs Volcanus

A new trailer for Sega and High Voltage Software’s fighter, Tournament of Legends.

This trailer highlights the fighters Bast, (probably better known as Bastet) the Egyptian goddess of the sun. Depicted as a human woman with the head of a cat. The other character Volcanus seems to be a guy in a wheel chair controlling a giant mechanical statue.

As for the game itself, I can’t say I’m impressed. The camera angle is jarring for a fighter and I can’t imagine all those waggle prompts on screen leaves much room for depth. Lets hope The Conduit 2 can impress.

Hostess clubs to return in Yakuza 4

In the West, Yakuza 3 had cut content like Hostess clubs; but in Yakuza 4 they will return. AAUK from the SEGA Europe blog has confirmed it.

I don’t know all the ins and outs of the game at this stage I can at least confirm to you that the much loved Hostesses will return in Yakuza 4 in all their alluring glory.”

This is great, especially for those that want the full experience when they buy their games.

SEGA in the Charts: Japanese Chart 24 – 30 May 2010

Unfortunately no cover art for the game was found, so here is a semi-related football picture

It’s been quite sometime since the last major release for SEGA in Japan and quite sometime since I last made one of these posts! But those times are finally over, a new entry of SEGA’s Let’s Make a Pro Soccer Club has been released and has debutted with average yet respectible numbers, so how did it do? Read on to find out

Yakuza 4 announced for the West!

Typically, companies love money. Apparently, SEGA loves the handful of people who buy the Yakuza series in the west just a little bit more! Yes, that’s right, it seems Kazuma Kiryuu’s final adventure is now heading westward, with an expected release of Spring 2011.

That’s all that’s really known at this time, though we should find out more come E3. For those wanting to ask Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi questions regarding the series, the good people at SEGA Europe have offered you a chance to post them in their blog. The questions that are chosen will be answered after E3.

Rejoice everyone, we’re getting yet another stellar beat ’em up adventure from SEGA!

Check out this short clip of Vanquish game play, the video was ripped from the games Japanese website which was updated recently.

It seems to be a demonstration of some of the moves you can do.
You can visit the website HERE.
It also has infomation (In Japanese) and music.

ESRB rates both Sonic Adventure and DX

Head over to ESRB.com and click on publisher, put in SEGA then search. Bam! Right in your face, undeniable truth. I guess we might see this at E3 after all.

I thought it would have been some sort of exclusive to Microsoft, but I’m wrong. The ESRB listing says its for Windows PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Sorry Wii.

Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapter character design not so original

I have been on a mission lately to watch all the Takashi Miike films, so recently I sat down and watched his film Crows Zero, who has a lead character that seems to be ripped off by SEGA’s upcoming Black Panther: New Yakuza Chapter game. I’ll admit, I’m not a Japanese expert, but I have not seen many characters that look like both the leads.

Some fun facts, Takashi Miike, director for Crows Zero also directed the mini series of Yakuza short films and the full featured film based on the games. I guess if they want to make a movie based on Black Panther, they already found a director and Shun Oguri can play Tatsuya Ukyou in the film.

GameStop: $20 off select SEGA titles

GameStop is having a special on select SEGA titles. Not the best SEGA titles, like Bayonetta or SEGA & Sonic All-Stars Racing. But hey, still a deal I guess.

The sale ends on June 10th, so if you want them, make sure you get your ass in there before the 10th.
