Phantasy Star Online 2 North American Open Beta Starts March 17 on Xbox One

If you are looking to get back into Phantasy Star Online 2, they will be opening up the servers for a ‘open beta’ starting on March 17 at 5:00 p.m. PT. According to the twitter account you’ll be able to use the old ‘closed beta’ client with an update that goes live on March 16 at 10:00 AM PDT. I assume that the new client will go live for anyone that didn’t play it during Closed Beta.

The sad part is that we still don’t know when PC gamers will be able to join the fight, but I guess this is a way to get PSO gamers on Xbox consoles.

Border Break open beta client hits Japanese PSN

If you guys didn’t catch our past stories, Border Break is heading to PlayStation 4 as a free-to-play game. But first SEGA wants to do a open beta for the game to gather player feedback and test their servers. If you want to join the open beta, its free to join with a Japanese PSN account. The client is now ready to download on PSN as well.

Sadly you won’t be able to join online games for a few days. The beta schdule goes as follows:

  • February 3, 2018 (Sat) 15: 00 ~ 21: 00
  • February 4, 2018 (Sunday) 15: 00 ~ 21: 00
  • February 17, 2018 (Sat) 15: 00 ~ 21 : 00
  • February 18, 2018 (Sunday) 15: 00 ~ 21: 00

From what I gather, you don’t need PlayStation Plus membership to play free-to-play games online. You just need a Japanese PSN account, which are free. Will you be trying out Border Break?

Border Break PS4 Japanese open beta schedule revealed

Border-Break-PS4-Bet

It is finally happening, we will finally be able to enjoy Border Break. At least, if you want to play on Japanese servers since we still haven’t gotten a confirmation if this game is getting a release outside of Japan. I’ll be honest, its frustrating to see all these tiny Atlus 3DS RPGs getting day one western announcements and a SEGA-AM2 arcade port being met with silence.

The Border Break PS4 beta client will be up to download starting February 1st around noon JST. The following is the schedule for actually trying the game:

Phantasy Star Online 2 Es starts open beta on Android

PSO2
Phantasy Star Online 2 might be well and out in Japan on PC and Vita, but their mini-version of the game called ‘Phantasy Star Online 2 Es‘ has met many delays. But don’t worry, the mobile version of the game has now hit open beta in Japan, at least on Android with a iOS version coming in the near future.

You can download here!

The mobile version is unique in the way it lets you connect to the Vita/PC version to download you character data and takes place at the same time as the story in full Phantasy Star online 2 and some items and experience you gain in the mobile version transfers back.

Company of Heroes 2 now in open beta

CompanyOfHeores2
If you are considering picking up Company of Heroes 2, due to all the rave the first game got about its multiplayer modes. You are now in luck, the game has entered open beta. You can get on and play through steam.

“We’ve added new match-making servers, implemented a significant amount of Closed Beta feedback and fixed more bugs, compatibility and performance issues than I can count. The team will continue to read comments and feedback in our official forums and participate in regular playtests with the community. We’ll be patching the beta frequently and getting into a good rhythm for our post launch support cycle. Please keep the comments and suggestions coming – we do care and are listening!” – Greg Wilson, Company of Heroes 2 producer

Check out the steam post about the news here. Good luck!
